Chapter 14 You Are Too Green
- After getting upstairs and out of sight from the others, Li Xinyu snatched her suitcase back from his hand, looked at him defensively and said, “Ling Yao, what is wrong with you today? Are you trying to set me up?”
- His expression did not change much and remained indifferent, “It seems to me, you are the one who has hurt me more, right?”
- “You’re insane, when have I ever harmed you?” Li Xinyu always viewed herself as having talent for pretending, and under all circumstances, she could feign composure. Even during the time, when the Lis were amidst all that ridicule, she could constantly manage to pretend that nothing had happened.
- But this “mask” of hers had been ineffective when it came to him. His every movement continuously messed up her plans.
- “Oh, never?” asked he, with his eyelids half closed.
- Li Xinyu, powerless, gave him an eye and pushed her suitcase into her room.
- He followed suit and entered her bedroom. While he was in there, he scrutinized and sized up her little world.
- It did not turn out as pink and delicate as he anticipated. Instead it was minimalist and lively, just like her personality. Only a few adorable ornaments in the room showed the identity of its owner, a lively young lady.
- She was indeed lively and alluring, with smooth skin and supple body.
- He initially came in to look at the room, but as his gaze swept around, his sight uncontrollably halted at her.
- Her full breasts, slim waistline and perfectly straight legs, even her feet were fair and plump…
- She sensed a scorching line of sight from behind, so Li Xinyu put down her things and stopped packing up.
- Turning around, lo and behold, Ling Yao was staring predatorily at her, as though he was going to eat her alive.
- Inexplicably, she was reminded of the night, when he did not recognize her and disrupted her by kissing her and pinning her on the bed.
- Li Xinyu shuddered as a chill ran through her body, because Ling Yao’s attitude was so peculiar.
- Ling Yao’s watched in a far-reaching manner, as he came towards her.
- A dangerous scent at once enveloped her. She staggered backwards a couple of steps and attempted to escape the shroud.
- Failing so, she paused and took a document out from her bag and used it to impede his momentum, “Here, I’ve already signed the divorce papers, we can make time to get it notarized and collect the divorce certificate.”
- Lin Yao took the document, peered fleetingly at it and casually flung it away and then papers scattered down over the floor.
- Something is wrong with him, if I knew this was the outcome, I would not have shown it to him. Li Xinyu hurriedly bent over wanting to gather up all the pieces of paper, because this was her treasure and hope.
- A pair of robust arms lifted her up from the ground, and threw her onto the bed. He said, “There’s no point collecting it back.”
- Ling Yao stood in front of the bed, and his tall physique was enough to hide her from view.
- “What do you mean it’s no use?” Ling Xinyu chewed over what he meant and studied his facial expression, “You are not going to tell me that you don’t want this divorce now, right?”
- He suddenly smiled, a smile so handsome and cheerful, yet it unnerved Lin Xinyu, “When did I tell you I wanted a divorce?”
- She stared with her eyes wide open, “But these papers…” they were obviously drafted on your behalf…
- “Does it have my signature on it? What basis do you have to say, this document was drafted by me?” Ling Yao suddenly bent over and bit her white and tender earlobes. His sultry breath coursed into her inner ear, boring right towards her heart, while tingling sensations erupted and flowed through her. “Li Xinyu, you are too green to mess with me,” said he.
- Li Xinyu turned rigid, her mind preoccupied with how Ling Yao reneged and no longer cared for a divorce.
- Ling Yao was amply satisfied with her reaction, and reached out his long fingers, gently touching her long hair, “As a wife, it’s inappropriate for you to be away from home. My mom likes you, so you should act more like a decent daughter-in-law. After dinner, go back to the Lings with me.”
