Chapter 34: For My Son

- "I assure you your mother will come," I said, stopping my teeth from chattering as I said that. I hate lying to my son since I know it won't actually happen, but this is the only thing that will calm him down, which becomes less and less effective as time passes.
- "I want to return to my mommy, so please let me go home," I saw tears in my son's eyes as he uttered those words, and I couldn't help but feel hurt since I knew he was suffering. Seven days have passed, and it appears that my empty promises are no longer effective.
