• I awoke with a smile, thinking back to last night. We made love, so maybe he forgave me. I sigh and stretch my limbs. I look around the room but am disappointed that he is not there. I went to the shower to take a cold bath, which eased my temperature. However, I heard the door abruptly open, and a firm hand grabbed me and pulled me out of the shower. I frowned when I saw it was Khai and looked down at my bruised arm.
