• Ismena was barely aware of Alphose leaving. Wolfariane was kissing her again, his hand digging harder into her hips, this time around, drawing blood.
• She winced into his mouth, her eyes watering. But she didn't fight him. Instead, she ran her hands around his back, down to his waist. Her breathing was harsh to her own ears.
• His other hand went to her leg and lifted it to his waist, to settle in comfortably between her thighs. He thrust again, sharp and animalistic as the first time against her belly.
