Chapter 22

• I walked out of the courtroom, my eyes watery, I couldn't believe I was crying over what she had said. But, it did hurt me, a lot. I wiped my tears away. Stop it. My subconsciousness scolded.
• "Wait up," Jake called. I wanted to stop and wait but my brain wasn't obeying my mind. I got out of the courthouse but he got to me before I could walk any further.
• "Are you okay?" He asked. He is so patient, I expected him to be mad or something but as usual, he didn't show any sign of being mad. I smiled. "Yeah, I'm okay," I replied.
