• "Lia! I have to get you to the hospital,” Derek ground out as he walked towards her and helped her gently wrap the white, blood-soaked towel around herself, she looked pale and tired of everything, including her life, but she couldn't give up.
• She cannot take her own life because she feels Zach owns it. It was like a new creation of Lia when she rose from the dead. She's treated Zach like a god her whole life, but he doesn't care about her at all.
• "Did he do this to you?" Derek doubts that Zach did this horrible thing to a young and poor woman, Lia. Lia was massively abused by her so-called husband, Zach.
