Chapter 6

• Freya
• "Frey," Clay and Alec called me. I was glaring at Joric and Britney now because that is all I can do to them for the moment.
• "I did not register myself. It's them," I told my friends and they both looked at the future alpha and frustrated Luna. "The dumb and the dumber." I added and they both laughed, before they got serious,
• "You know that you can't back out, right? The Lycan prince wanted us to be responsible for all our actions and make our own decisions. That's why he had the tournament with a weak preparation." Alec said, and I nodded. I don't know if I am going to act fragile at them or what.
• "I don't know either. You know that I didn't want to join in either," I replied. I know that mom and dad will be very worried once they hear about this. I sighed deeply. I had to think this through because Pi has been on edge these past few days. She seemed different although she was always sensible, but I really think that something was going on with her.
• There were times when we felt our mates' infidelity. I could feel her anger and rage. It was as though she wanted to kill whoever our mate was banging. Just like the last time, she howled in pain and agony, calling for our mate and letting him know how we felt.
• "Just surrender to all your fights." Alec said, worriedly.
• "No way! I am not a coward!" I exclaimed. Even if he suggested it for my own good, I still didn't like it and will never do it. I can fight, and I know that more than anyone else.
• "What are you going to do? Just let whoever your opponent is hurt you? How long do you think it will take you to heal when you don't have your wolf yet?" Alec asked continuously.
• "I am going to try to find something out. If anything, I am not going to withdraw and that's final." I told him and he and Clay sighed deeply. They were worried about me and I understood that we had been friends and had seen me bullied by a lot led by the future idiot alpha and his wh**e. They even tried to fight them for me, but I always stopped them.
• Beta Jack had no son and Britney was his only child. Unfortunately for him, his lineage as a good beta will end with him. There's no way that the pack is going to accept Britney as the future Beta. Not because she's a woman, but because she doesn't know anything but to try to get Joric's attention, which I think she fails miserably because the idiot only wanted her to warm his bed.
• Our beta continued his announcement and I saw my mate roam his eyes around from time to time. I didn't expect him to attend today because he said he had some important things to attend to in the neighboring pack and wouldn't be back until dinner. I wonder what happened to him. He roamed his eyes again, so I lowered my head. I had a feeling that he was looking for someone.
• We were all seated and me, being not so tall, was covered by another she-wolf and her friend in front of me, so I was certain that he wouldn't be able to see me. Unless he knew that I was with Alec and Clay, who were both huge for their age, he would.
• "I am thankful that many of you decided to join the tournament. I would like to remind you that this is only a friendly fight and was only to measure your strength. Your Alpha has done an outstanding program for the event and I hope that all of you will abide by the rules he set," Matteo said. I was only listening and still had my head down. He won't get mad if I do this the whole time because this is how we show our respect to the royals.
• "I will be watching everyone and see how you have improved since I came here, so do not disappoint me. You have to give your all and show your might. Even after that, I still won't take it against anyone who decided to withdraw thinking they couldn't take their opponents, but at least try." he added. Was he thinking that I wouldn't be able to fight, so he was saying all of this? Wait, did he know that the Freya that Beta Jack said was me? And why the hell am I assuming that it was because of me?
• "Thank you so much your highness," it was Alpha Daniel. Matteo finished his speech and it was our Alpha's turn to boost our confidence. "As we already said, tomorrow is the start of our tournament. But today is the opening, so we will have our pack run to be led by his highness himself." he added. My eyes widened because I didn't know what I was going to do.
• "Hey, relax. We all knew that you didn't have your wolf, so you wouldn't be able to run with us." Clay said when he noticed my uneasiness. Oh, silly me. Did I forget about that? Of course, I won't be joining the pack run. I sighed in relief after that thought. 'Frey,' Pi called me.
• 'Yes, Pi?' I asked,
• 'Something is going on with me,' she replied.
• 'I noticed that too. What do you think that is?' I asked her too.
• 'I didn't know either. But whatever it is, I feel good about it.' she replied.
• 'What do you mean?'
• 'Can't you feel that we are getting lighter and faster? I didn't have any anger issues before, but now, I have started to feel them as well, even rage, which is how wolves should be.' she answered. 'I think we are transforming, Frey,' she added.
• 'What do you mean?' I asked worriedly.
• 'Maybe because we are mated to the Lycan prince, we are starting to transform into one.'
• 'What??' I asked, shocked.
• 'Yes, Frey.. 4 full moons have passed after we found him to be our mate. Tonight is another full moon, which makes it 5 and on the 6th full moon, we will be totally transformed into a Lycan. Our only problem is whether he will be able to smell our scent or not.'
• 'Is that the reason why I suddenly felt stronger? I mean, we're of alpha blood, but I think we are getting stronger than having the alpha blood itself.'
• 'I guess so. You had better prepare yourself because I don't think I will be able to control myself either if I feel angry. You should be able to do that.' and I started to get worried.
• 'You know that you are the one who tries to control me not to get angry every time. What are you saying that I should be the one who should control you?' I asked in panic. It was true, ever since, she was the one who was calm and collected and I was the one who couldn't control myself. How many times did she stop me from hitting Joric and Britney along with their minions?
• 'Then, we had better try to calm ourselves instead and hope that nothing's going to happen during the tournament.' she said and started to hide at the back of my head.
• "Hey, what's wrong?" Alec asked, "You sighed really deep." he added. I didn't want him to worry, so I smiled at him and said,
• "I am fine, I was just pissed at Joric and Britney for signing me up to this."
• "Don't worry, Clay and I were on your back," he replied,
• "Thanks."
• "No biggie," Clay said, smiling.
• "I decided to run," I told them, and they were both eyeing me. Maybe they were thinking that I was stupid. "Not on fours though," I added, smiling and they both smiled at me and Clay said,
• "You can choose which of our backs you want to get on when you get tired."
• "That is sweet of you two, but no, I am going to try this the entire run." I replied,
• "Then you still have us on your back. We don't mind being left behind by them on this run." Alec said,
• "Let's get ready and go." I replied and we all stood up. I looked at my mate over my shoulder before I followed my friends. I just hope that nothing is going to happen in this run.
