Chapter 3
- The blonde finishes getting dressed to leave the bathroom without even looking at Rebeca, but he feels her eyes glued to him.
- "What does this silence mean?" he asks as he picks up his coat.
- "Rebeca, why do you want to commit your life in this way?" the CEO confronts her with his gaze.
- "What are you saying?! We've been dating for months, I think it's time we make our outings official, don't you think?"
- "No."
- His cold response disturbs her.
- She knew what she was getting into when she started dating Mauricio, a man known for not taking anyone seriously. No woman had managed to tame him, he was a natural heartbreaker.
- But she believed that after the time they had been dating, he would see her in a different light. She was always available when he sought her out, and on top of that, she was a famous model.
- "How can you say no? What about all the time we've been dating? Doesn't that count?"
- "I think I was clear with you from the beginning, wasn't I?" the model blinks several times as she remembers when he told her he wasn't looking for anything with any woman.
- "Yes, but..."
- "You accepted this condition, now don't change the rules, otherwise this ends here."
- Rebeca's heart beats strongly, Mauricio was a very determined man. He wasn't intimidated by anyone and didn't hesitate to tell anyone off. The young woman licks her lips as she ties her coat.
- "You decide... it's very good to have sex with you, but if I have to end this, I will..." the CEO stares at her waiting for a response.
- "No, no, I don't want it to end," she smiles half"heartedly."
- However, despite accepting Mauricio's condition, she was determined to get more from that man. She was going to make him hers, Mauricio was everything a woman desired, he was rich, handsome, and excessively masculine.
- Did she love him?
- She was hopelessly obsessed with him.
- "In that case, we continue as we are."
- "Agreed," she approaches him seductively, sliding her hands down his chest. "I accept your conditions, as long as I can continue enjoying you, I accept everything."
- "That's the way I like it!"
- The CEO wraps his arms around her waist, receiving the kiss from the blonde. Rebeca was a very passionate woman. But also very capricious, he knew she wouldn't let him go easily. As long as she could keep having sex with him, she was willing to accept anything.
- Although it wasn't bad at all, it was a very serious problem he had on his hands. But it was something he could deal with.
- "See you tonight at the usual restaurant?" she smiles, showing that shiny and dangerous look.
- "Of course, at the same time."
- "Okay, then see you later."
- She kisses his finger and then places it on his lips, the blonde walks towards the door swaying her hips provocatively. As soon as he is alone, the CEO sighs.
- Rebeca closes Mauricio's office door with an expression of irritation. It was going to be very difficult for her to get that man to take her seriously, but she needed to do it. He was one of the most important CEOs in the city, she liked him a lot, she would be an idiot to let him slip away.
- She bites her lips just as she looks up to see Mauricio's secretary, the brunette watches her as if she knew what she had done with her boss. And it was fine for her to suspect, that stupid woman should know who the hell was with him.
- Rebeca passes by her, giving her a look of inferiority, and continues on to the exit as if she owned the whole place. She wasn't, but she hoped to soon.
- The bus stops after a long, twisted journey, but it had finally arrived at its final destination. And she was grateful because she was already exhausted. Amber stands up as she sees all the passengers doing the same.
- With her backpack in hand, the brunette gets off the bus, looks up, and notices Grace in the distance waving at her. The brunette smiles slightly as she walks towards her.
- As she gets closer to the brunette, they embrace.
- "You finally made it. How was the trip?" Grace asks.
- "Very tiring," Amber replies.
- "I can imagine. Well, let's go home. My mother must be waiting for us."
- "Thank you for picking me up. I honestly have no idea how to get home."
- "Don't worry, you'll gradually get used to this city."
- Amber nods, thinking that she didn't believe it would be that easy. New York was a different world from what she was used to. Life in the countryside was very different from life in the city, but she didn't have many options either.
- After her father's death, she had no choice but to move in with her aunt Maryin and her cousin Grace. They welcomed her into their home, although she thought it would be temporary.
- "I've prepared a room for you, but I see you didn't bring many things with you."
- "I brought what I needed. I didn't have much to begin with."
- Her father didn't have many possessions, he didn't own a house, and he didn't have a large wardrobe either. When her father died, she could only live for three more months in the small house he had rented.
- That's why she turned to her aunt, her mother's sister, who had never cared for her since the day she was born. Her father took care of everything while she packed her things and left just like that.
- Luckily, her aunt kept in touch with her. It wasn't much, but there was support since her father had no siblings.
- "I hope to find a job quickly and not be a burden to my aunt during my stay in her house."
- "You're young, you're in the big city, I'm sure you'll find a good job."
- "I hope so..."
- Grace looks at her cousin and smiles, knowing she was going through a tough time. At least being with them would make it a little easier for her. She looks at their outfits and realizes they were a bit outdated.
- It was obvious where the poor girl came from. She looks at her sneakers, they were quite worn out. She felt sorry for Amber.
- When they arrived home, Maryin welcomed her niece with a smile.
- "Child, how you've grown."
- "Hello aunt, thank you for welcoming me into your home."
- "I'm very sorry about your father, it was terrible news."
- "Yes," the brunette looks down, remembering her father.
- "Grace has prepared a room for you, it's the one at the end. I'm sure you want to shower, eat, and rest."
- That was exactly what she needed in life, she had been traveling for two days and was truly exhausted.
- "Thank you."
- After showering and settling into a comfortable bed, Amber sighs. Despite being at peace in that house, she couldn't help but worry about her financial situation.
- She was only 19 years old, she needed to do something with her life because she couldn't just stay at her aunt's house. It was important that she found a job as soon as possible, and with those thoughts, she drifted into a deep sleep.
