• I needed to get back to the company to address some pending issues and, more importantly, to activate the Miller public relations team. Given how we left the company, it wouldn't be long before some video started circulating on the internet. As I expected, barely had I arrived at the company when I had to dodge a few reporters, and my phone started vibrating.
• I pulled it out of my pocket as soon as I entered the Miller House and saw Eve's name. I ignored the call for a moment, at least until I reached Tom's office and could understand the full situation. As soon as the elevator doors opened on the executive floor, everyone’s eyes fell on me.
