Chapter 2 She's Pregnant

  • Leah’s POV
  • I blinked a lot at what they just said. I didn't know what to do. I shook my head, saying no. I didn't want to marry any of them! Just thinking about it made me feel sick.
  • "No," I whispered, my voice shaky but strong. I kept shaking my head. "I can’t do that. You need to let me go. Please, let me go!" I begged, wanting to get out.
  • "I-I don’t even know who you are!" My voice cracked. "And now you want me to choose one of you to marry? This is crazy!" My heart was beating fast as I looked at their faces. They all looked at me, not showing any feelings.
  • I felt like I was going crazy. Sure, they were really handsome—each one more good-looking. But this? This was too much. I tried to push past them, but they moved aside like they were letting me go. As I tried to run away, they followed me, like shadows.
  • "You can’t escape," Lucian's voice said, calm but chilling. "Wherever you go in this house, you’re still with us. You have no choice, Leah. You will do what we say, or your family dies."
  • His words made me angry. I turned around, pointing at them, my feelings coming out. Tears came to my eyes, and my face got hot because of these madness!
  • "You're monsters! All of you!" I shouted. "You think just because you’re rich and powerful you can control someone’s life? You’re disgusting. If you're so powerful, why me? Why choose someone like me? You could have any woman! Why ruin my life?"
  • They said nothing, their faces blank, like they were hiding something. I was angry and waited for them to answer, but they didn't.
  • Finally, Lucian’s eyes softened a little, but his words were still cold. "This is your fate, Leah. You can’t change it. You are here to help us."
  • "Help you?!" I screamed. "How? What do you want from me?"
  • Damon, with the cold eyes, stepped forward. "In time, you’ll understand. But for now, you need to obey us."
  • "Obey you?" I laughed, not believing him. "You must be crazy if you think I’ll trust you. I won’t marry any of you! Ever!" I said angrily, pushing past them and running down the hallway, looking for a way out.
  • "Darling, it’s useless," Rafael laughed. "No matter how many doors you open, you’re still trapped. There are guards everywhere. And that door you’re running toward? It’s locked. There’s no escape."
  • But just as Rafael finished speaking, I turned the doorknob, and it opened.
  • My eyes widened. I looked at the four men, surprised. Without thinking, I ran through the door as fast as I could.
  • "GUARDS! GET HER!" Lucian’s voice shouted behind me. "Why wasn’t anyone guarding that door?!"
  • I didn't look back. I just wanted to escape. But the house was huge, with many hallways that all looked the same. I was out of breath as I ran, my feet hitting the cold floor.
  • Then, I heard it—footsteps. Fast, heavy footsteps behind me.
  • I looked back and was scared. Many men in black suits, wearing sunglasses and talking on radios, were coming closer fast.
  • I ran faster, my heart beating fast. But before I could reach another door, someone grabbed my arm and pulled me back.
  • "Let go of me!" I screamed, trying to get away. But it was no use. Then, two more men grabbed me and lifted me up.
  • I couldn't escape.
  • They took me back to the main hall, where the men were waiting, furious. As they threw me to the ground. This time, all the doors in the room slammed shut, the locks clicking.
  • Lucian came closer, his eyes angry. He grabbed my shirt and pulled me up. "You’re tougher than we thought, Leah," he growled. "But you need to learn to listen. Next time, you’ll think twice before trying something so reckless."
  • But then his voice changed. His eyes looked down, scared. I looked where he was looking and felt sick.
  • Blood.
  • A little bit of blood was coming from my leg, staining my dress.
  • "W-What the fuck?" Xander's voice trembled.
  • Lucian’s grip on me loosened as I fell back. They looked at each other, their faces going from angry to something else. Scared. Shocked.
  • I felt dizzy, like I was going to fall. I was getting weaker, and my vision was getting blurry. My legs felt weak, and I stumbled, trying to stay standing.
  • “Fuck! What are we going to do?”
  • "Don't tell me..." one of them said, but their words hanging in the air.
  • "D-Don’t tell us you’re pregnant?"
  • Those were the last words I heard before I passed out.
  • "This is wrong. No, she can't be pregnant. How are we supposed to do our plan now?"
  • "Relax. You need to calm down, okay? I know it's shocking, but we need to stay calm and find a solution."
  • "I have a solution. What if we find the guy who got her pregnant and kill him?"
  • "Do you want to be a murderer, you dumb-ass?"
  • I woke up to the sound of voices arguing. Slowly, I opened my eyes, and the first thing I saw was a fancy room. A light was hanging from the ceiling, shining softly. I looked around. The room was large, with simple furniture, but what I noticed were the four men standing at the end of the bed, arguing.
  • Though I couldn't understand everything they were saying, I saw Lucian rubbing his head, like he was trying to calm down the others.
  • "Look, we’ll figure this out, okay? Right now, we can just ask her. Who's the guy that got her pregnant? Even though this wasn't part of the plan."
  • "Is he really sure she's the right woman? What if… I mean, I’m not questioning him, but this is just ridiculous."
  • "You're not the only one who thinks this whole plan is crazy. None of us wanted this in the first place. But we can’t get our money if we don’t do it."
  • I groaned as my stomach hurt. That's when all four men looked at me. They stopped arguing and came closer when they saw I was awake.
  • “Leah, you’re awake. Did you hear what we were talking about?” Rafael asked.
  • Instead of answering, I tried to sit up, but my stomach hurt. Rafael quickly helped me.
  • “Here, let me help you.” He gently sat me up, putting a pillow behind my back to make me comfortable.
  • I was still trying to understand everything—what happened, how I got here, and what they were talking about. I looked at them, trying to think.
  • “W-What’s going on?” I asked, confused.
  • They all looked at each other before looking back at me. Just as Lucian was about to speak, Xander suddenly interrupted.
  • “Leah, we need you to tell us the truth. How long have you been pregnant? And who’s the father?”
  • I blinked a lot, frozen, not understanding his question.
  • "Dude!" Rafael hit Xander’s arm. “Have some manners! You can’t just ask her something like that after she was bleeding earlier.”
  • Rafael turned to me, looking sad, like he was sorry for Xander.
  • “Really, I’m sorry about that. Do you want anything? Maybe you’re thirsty or hungry? Please just relax and don’t think too much about Xander’s question.”
  • Rafael walked out, leaving the three men with me. I was still too surprised to move, thinking about Xander's question. Lucian sighed, tired of talking, and looked at me with narrowed eyes.
  • Instead of answering his question, I looked away, thinking.
  • Suddenly, memories I wanted to forget came back to me. It was like they came into my head. I couldn't remember everything because I was confused and my body was weak. I had been taken away, and when I woke up, I was naked and confused.
  • Those memories—the ones I had tried to forget—came back. I started shaking, scared. My mind was going back to that fearful time, feeling the same pain, fright, and helplessness. I hugged myself, trying to feel something other than fear.
  • “Please… please don’t touch me,” I whispered, shaking. It felt like I was back there—trapped, scared, and weak.
  • Then, I felt a hand on my shoulder. It shook me gently, pulling me out of my scary thoughts. “Leah, answer us. Who got you pregnant?” Lucian’s voice cut through my thoughts, bringing me back.
  • I blinked, my eyes wide, still shaking. When I looked at Lucian, I was scared, and tears came to my eyes. The three of them looked at me, confused, like they didn't understand what was happening to me.
  • And then I said it.
  • “He… he got me pregnant.”
  • “What?” Damon's voice was sharp.
  • “The man…” I said, my voice very soft. “He’s the one who got me pregnant… but I don’t know who he is.”
