Chapter 6

• Edward pov.
• I slowly got out of my car. I looked at the tallest building in front of me and I felt happy inside. The Mason Research Institute is the biggest private research center in the country right now and it is owned by me.
• “Elijah” I called.
• “Yes Boss” he replied.
• “Do you have anything to report to me” I asked as I quickly climbed the elevator to my private office.
• Elijah is my personal assistant and he knows that I usually want feedback anywhere and everywhere. It doesn’t matter whether I am sleeping, walking or sitting.
• He opened the office door and I entered in majestically as the king that I am. After I was well settled on my chair he started to explain.
• “Well, the girl is still missing and my contacts haven’t found any information on the formula” he said regrettably.
• I looked at him with dark eyes. I can’t believe that it has been 5 years of searching for the secret formula.
• “We can’t afford to waste more time on this Elijah” I snarled back at him.
• “Yes I understand, but the girl took the envelop and its contents. She is the key to us finding that secret which her father was working on before his death “he replied.
• “Have you been keeping a close eye on her sister?” I asked.
• “Yes Boss” he replied.
• “The plans have changed, leave Natasha for me just focus on finding Ava. I don’t care whether she is alive or dead. Do everything in your power to find that important formula. You do know that it is the key to our success.
• “Alright Boss”
• Natasha doesn’t know it but we have met. I know she had been calling me continuously thinking that I am her sister’s boyfriend but she have no idea how twisted the situation is for all of us.
• I have been watching her movement closely all this years and I know exactly what she is doing at all the times. That day I met her at the amusement park she was so lovely, I even feel guilty for seducing her.
• I know you are wondering where I fit in this story. My name is Edward Mason the owner of Mason research institute. Natasha’s father kept something that belonged to me and I want to recover it at all costs.
• I seduced Ava because I knew that she was the weaker of the two but there was a complication on the process. Someone else was interested in the same data.
• Now my main mission is to keep Natasha beside me. I will do whatever needs to be done even if it meant marrying her.
• “Elijah we need to pay someone a visit” I instructed.
• “Where to Boss…..I am not informed about that” he said surprised.
• “I need you to take me to the police station”
• Elijah understood immediately and so we quickly climbed my black limited May Bach and drove to the station.
• We arrived at exactly 5.30 PM. I knew that she will be walking down the road somewhere going to her apartment like she usually does. I have mustered her daily routine like the back of my hands. I don’t know what she plans to achieve by this but as a police officer she should know better than to follow the same routine.
• I quickly saw her and my mouth curved in a cheeky smile.
• “ Drive the car near her” I instructed and Elijah complied.
• When I reached at her side, I notice how her police uniform was hugging her curvy body. I didn’t even know that a woman can be sexy in that awful uniform. But Natasha was different, way more different that her little spoilt sister.
• I brought the windows down and gave her my best smile. Natasha was surprised beyond words and it doesn’t take long before she recognized me.
• “You…..you, what are you doing here” she asked while stammering.
• Natasha suddenly became nervous. She looked at her left then at her right and then she turned her face to stare at me again.
• “Hello stranger……we meet again!” I exclaimed in pretense.
• She managed to give me an embarrassed smile and her cheeks started to flush immediately and I knew that I was on the right track.
• “Don’t just stand outside there, hop in so that I can drop you home” I offered excitedly.
• I know that this is the chance that I have been looking for so that she can take me to her apartment. May be there is something that we missed.
• She shook her head almost immediately in rejection. Seeing this I became furious but I have to be careful not to show her because the end result was what matters.
• “It’s okay I can manage on my own” she said.
• Just when I thought that there was no any other way to convince her, I saw the clouds start to become heavy and dark. Almost immediately the heavens opened and the rain water started to ravish her beautiful hair and body. She was confused and didn’t know what to do.
• “This is my last chance “ I thought silently.
• “Alright you are going to come in to the car whether you like it or not” I commanded
• As much as I didn’t like to get wet in my expensive suit, this was a sacrifice that I had to make for my plan to work so I hop out of the vehicle and gently started to pull her in to the car. She was wet already and her clothes were hugging her like her second skin.
• She was not in a hurry and the cold rain was hitting me from all corners. My neat locks were now destroyed and I wondered how pathetic I looked. I like my perfect image and if it wasn’t for the woman I would still be in my car, dry and comfortable.
• “Okay…. “She finally agreed.
• “If you wanted us to stay in the rain I would have gladly agreed. All you had to do was ask” I joked while seated at the back with her.
• “I am sorry for making you wet. It is just that I don’t trust people easily. This is the second time we are just meeting. To make matters worse I don’t even know your name” she complained.
• “Really…” I asked cheekily.
