Chapter 1 Hades
- In a shadowy room, a tall figure was on top of a woman.
- In a swift motion, he ripped away her underwear.
- The dim light cast her unique beauty into stark relief against the night's darkness.
- Arya Dillon's head pounded with confusion. Wasn't she supposed to be dead from a car accident? How did she end up here?
- Then, memories began to seep through the fog.
- It was the battle aeon. Her father, Nixon Dillon, had been a general in Esnon. She had grown up without knowing her mother.
- The night before had been catastrophic. Her father was wrongfully accused of treason and committed suicide. Immediately after, her uncle Edric Dillon usurped the estate.
- Her aunt and cousin Remi Dillon had drugged her and delivered her to the Moon House, a brothel, as a captive.
- Then, this horrible man climbed through the window and assaulted her, and the original Arya's life ended in disgrace and anger.
- Now, she had awoken in Arya's body.
- Dazed, she felt a large hand grab her ankle and hoist it onto his shoulder.
- A sharp pain then tore through her, so deep.
- Her foot twitched violently.
- Arya snapped to full awareness, struggling to push him away, "Scoundrel, let go of me! Get out! Now!"
- He was taking advantage of her!
- However, he was immovable, solid as a mountain.
- Titus Alpin sneered, pinning her hand beneath his, pressing down hard.
- "You're working in a brothel, and yet you're pretending to be pure? Serve me well, and there will be benefits for you," he taunted.
- Then, everything escalated rapidly.
- A sudden heat flooded Arya's body, overwhelming her senses and silencing her protests.
- She couldn't do anything but to comply.
- She just couldn't understand how this body could be so flexible.
- How was it possible for her knees to be pushed to touch her own shoulders?
- She remembered she couldn't even touch her toes when bending over.
- Not knowing how long it took, the man finally calmed.
- Arya, still dazed, felt a scar shaped like an "X" across his sturdy back.
- "I will remember you," she whispered fiercely, "I will settle scores with you. I swear!"
- "So, you were still pure," the man's voice broke through, a smirk hidden under his cold demeanour, "You should not have been here."
- Titus slowly lifted his head, his voice deep and chilling, echoing as if from the depths of hell.
- Arya's eyes widened in shock as she finally saw his face, or rather, a cold, emotionless mask.
- Beneath it, his eyes were piercing and cold, his lips stark and forbidding.
- Could this be the King of the Underworld?
- His presence was unnervingly cold.
- "Who are you?" Arya demanded, her tone sharp.
- Titus's smirk widened, "Hades."
- With that, he straightened, his dark robe billowing around him, and disappeared through the broken window.
- Beyond the window, the silhouettes of ridges melded with the cold, starry night as the figure known as Hades disappeared into the darkness.
- ...
- Nine months later, in a humble mud hut on the city's outskirts, the clear cries of a newborn echoed through the air.
- "Miss, come quickly! You've given birth to a set of boy-girl twins!" Holly Welche, the nanny, cried joyfully.
- "Let me see them," Arya said weakly, turning her head.
- "Look, Miss, the children are exceptionally beautiful."
- In Holly's arms, the infants looked delicate and utterly enchanting.
- Arya sighed in relief.
- When Arya awoke that morning, the events of the past night were blurred in her memory. All she could recall was a chilling, chiseled mask and the "X" shaped scar her fingers had touched.
- His presence, whether human or ghost, seemed like a nightmare sprung from the darkest pits.
- She had braced herself for the possibility of giving birth to two spectral beings, considering the ghostly features of their father, Hades.
- Yet, the two charming babies before her were unmistakably human.
- This sight eased her deepest fears.
