Chapter 2 Conditions

  • Jiang Weiyang's head hit the cabinet behind her with force, causing a dull pain that brought her back to consciousness.
  • "Jiang Weiyang! Let's end things peacefully! Yes, I am with Manman now, and I'm sorry for that, but what about you? We've been together for so many years, and you won't even let me touch you! I am a passionate man, and I have normal needs too! The reason why we ended up like this is largely your fault. Please leave my house right now!" Zhang Ziyang looked at Jiang Weiyang, who was sitting on the ground with a pale face, and shouted angrily.
  • Jiang Weiyang was slow to react. She tugged at the corners of her mouth, forcing a smile that looked anything but pleasant. Her heart ached sharply.
  • She had believed that Zhang Ziyang was different.
  • But reality had shown her otherwise.
  • Using the cabinet for support, she slowly stood up and finally looked at Zhang Ziyang. Jiang Weiyang fiercely threw the key to his house at him, turned around, and left without any hesitation.
  • She had loved this man before, but after being treated like a commodity and experiencing his infidelity, Jiang Weiyang would not sacrifice her pride and dignity, no matter how much she loved him.
  • But her heart was in so much pain that it almost took her breath away.
  • After Jiang Weiyang left Zhang's residential area, she felt as if all her strength had been drained from her.
  • As she looked at the constant flow of traffic on the road, she even had a momentary thought of ending her life. But when she thought of her sick mother still at home, she suppressed that thought.
  • Her phone in her pocket vibrated again. Jiang Weiyang took out her phone and realized that her mother, Lin Xin, had called her more than ten times during this period. She wiped away the tears on her face, coughed a few times to clear her throat, and then answered the call.
  • "Mom." As soon as she spoke, her voice became hoarse.
  • Lin Xin's gentle voice followed, "Is Weiyang busy?"
  • "Not busy." Jiang Weiyang didn't want Lin Xin to notice anything wrong with her voice, so she answered very briefly.
  • There was a moment of silence on Lin Xin's end, as if she was hesitating about something. After a long time, Jiang Weiyang heard her weak voice, "Can Weiyang come home now?"
  • Jiang Weiyang was somewhat puzzled, feeling that Lin Xin was speaking hesitantly, as if there was something she wanted to say but couldn't.
  • Confused, she heard the impatient voice of a man on the other end, "Hurry up and send her home. What are you doing blabbering on and on?"
  • "Yangyang..." Lin Xin's voice, filled with fear, rang out again.
  • Jiang Weiyang's face suddenly changed, and she hurriedly replied, "I'll be right back." She waved her hand to stop a taxi on the road and headed straight home.
  • Jiang Weiyang was anxious, afraid that the man at home would bully Lin Xin. She frequently checked the time on her phone during the journey.
  • Upon arriving home, as expected, she saw the arrogant man in the living room, looking down on everyone, while Lin Xin stood by, bowing her head and barely daring to speak. This made Jiang Weiyang angry.
  • "Why did you come to my house?"
  • This man was none other than her biological father, Jiang Zhentao.
  • Twenty years ago, Jiang Zhentao had abandoned his wife and newborn daughter, Jiang Weiyang, in order to climb the social ladder. Later, in order to hide the dirty things he had done in the past from his current wife, he had even tried to harm Lin Xin.
  • Jiang Weiyang stepped forward to stand in front of Lin Xin, afraid that she would be hurt by Jiang Zhentao again.
  • "Hmph! A bastard is always a bastard, without any manners! Hasn't your mother taught you anything all these years?" Jiang Zhentao angrily scrutinized Jiang Weiyang.
  • Jiang Weiyang was beautiful, with striking features that exuded strength. Even though she was wearing ordinary clothes at the moment, her temperament couldn't be concealed.
  • "A bastard? Haha, what about the bastard's father? Is he an animal or a beast? Oh, right, the bastard's father is probably worse than an animal!" Jiang Weiyang's tone was sharp as she curled her lips, looking at Jiang Zhentao with undisguised hatred.
  • "What did you say?" Jiang Zhentao was indeed provoked, and suddenly stood up, raising his hand to hit Jiang Weiyang.
  • Lin Xin quickly pulled Jiang Weiyang behind her and pleaded, "Tao Ge, don't argue with Yangyang. She's usually well-behaved, but she might be upset today. Please don't get angry."
  • Then she turned to Jiang Weiyang and said, "Yangyang, apologize to your father."
  • "I don't have a father, and I won't apologize." Jiang Weiyang straightened her back, her attitude firm.
  • Lin Xin looked distressed, but still stubbornly stood in front of Jiang Weiyang, afraid that Jiang Zhentao would really hit her.
  • Jiang Zhentao stared coldly at Jiang Weiyang, and after a long while, he snorted coldly, "I won't waste my precious time talking nonsense with you. It's meaningless. I came here to take Yang Yang back to the Jiang family."
  • "Dream on!" Lin Xin hadn't even reacted yet, but Jiang Weiyang was the first to curse.
  • "Yang Yang, don't talk to your father like this," Jiang Weiyang had just finished speaking when Lin Xin weakly pulled on her clothes and spoke softly.
  • Jiang Weiyang turned her head to look at her with red eyes, "Mom, how much more will you endure? Have you forgotten what he did in the past? Have you forgotten how he treated us, mother and daughter? I won't go back with him! Let him go!"
  • After saying that, Jiang Weiyang turned around and was about to go back to her room.
  • "Your mother's uremia is already very severe. If she doesn't have a kidney transplant soon, she won't live for more than six months. Don't you care about yourself? Don't you care about her either?"
  • Jiang Zhentao's eyes burned with anger, but he restrained himself and coldly threw out a sentence.
  • Jiang Weiyang's body suddenly stiffened, and the fist hanging by her side slowly clenched.
  • Lin Xin was Jiang Zhentao's ex-wife. As a result, this man had abandoned his wife and daughter in order to climb the social ladder. Not only that, but in order to keep Jiang Weiyang's existence a secret, he heartlessly took action.
  • If it weren't for him, how could Lin Xin have developed uremia from overwork?
  • "Can you cure my mother's illness?" Jiang Wei Yang took several deep breaths to calm her emotions, then turned to look at Jiang Zhen Tao behind her.
  • A cold smile appeared on Jiang Zhen Tao's lips. "I can arrange for the best experts in the country to perform the surgery for her, and I can also ensure that a suitable kidney donor will be found. Additionally, I can cover the expenses for her postoperative care..."
  • "Get to the point, what are your conditions?" Jiang Wei Yang coldly interrupted before Jiang Zhen Tao could finish speaking.
  • Jiang Wei Yang knew Jiang Zhen Tao too well. He was not someone who would do something without expecting something in return. He wouldn't come to help them, mother and daughter, out of the goodness of his heart.
  • "Let's be straightforward, I appreciate talking to someone like you who understands," Jiang Zhen Tao admired Jiang Wei Yang quite a bit. A wise person understands the current situation, and Jiang Wei Yang was clearly such a person.
  • "I need you to return to the Jiang family with me and marry Xue Si Lu, the eldest son of the Xue family, as the future Mrs. Jiang."
