Chapter 1 Not Interested In You
- It was late at night and Braelyn had a sad expression on her face as she trudged towards the club, sadly compared to her excited mood in the early morning.
- Braelyn had always been excited about the mate bond ever since she was fifteen and more excited because today was her birthday, but now she couldn't believe her mate was someone who would never be interested in her.
- Today was her birthday, but she had no one to celebrate with, and when she suddenly smelled that enticing scent she thought she had finally found someone to spend it with only for Cedric to say, 'I can never be interested in you…'
- "Watch out!" A fellow with a black cap and mask on his/her face suddenly collided with Braelyn which made her frown in anger.
- Braelyn stumbled back, and her butt hit the floor, which made her cry in pain, "Ouch!"
- Originally, Braelyn was angered by everything that happened today, but before she could stand up, demanded the man’s apology, the person had disappeared into thin air.
- "Damn!" Braelyn muttered to herself in anger as she entered the club for the first time.
- The club was in a frenzy mode when she entered.
- "High level of alcohol, please," Braelyn yelled to the muscular handsome bartender due to the loud playing song.
- In White Flake Pack, the age of 18 is the legal age to drink alcohol and visit such places as clubs, etc.
- Braelyn had received such a huge blow today, what she needed mostly is alcohol to calm herself down.
- As soon as the whiskey arrived in front of her, Braelyn took it and poured it down her throat, and for a first-timer, she found it bitter.
- Braelyn gasped as the drink went down her throat like liquid fire.
- She grimaced as she felt her eyes blurring but at least she wasn't feeling as wretched as she was before, the alcohol had calmed her down at little.
- "Hello beautiful girl." A hand came around her shoulder and a repulsive voice said to her. "How are you doing?"
- At first she ignored him to his hand kept resting on her and she finally snapped. "Leave me alone, I've already had a bad day don't add to it!"
- "I'll make your day better, girl. Trust me."
- Braelyn didn't try to talk sense to the man anymore, she just used all of her power to push the man and she ran as quickly as possible.
- After she confirmed the man didn’t catch up her, she walked back to her house drunkenly.
- Even though she was drunk, she was still sane enough to decipher everything that was happening.
- "I got a mate. I don't want a mate…" Braelyn continued to sing as she walked home in drunken steps.
- Braelyn suddenly heard some strange voice, it was sudden, and it almost made her freeze in shock.
- "What the hell? What's that sound?" Braelyn asked herself in curiosity.
- Soon, Braelyn traced the noise to a car: it was Cedric, her ex-mate's car.
- Braelyn isn't one to be crazily curious, but she approached the car, inquisitively. And she'd blame it on the alcohol, yes the alcohol!
- "What's he doing?" Braelyn whispered as she checked Cedric's car window with squinted eyes.
- Cerdric looked miserable, curled up in the car, making vomiting noises at times, and he didn't even seem to have the ability to open the door.
- "The cocky alpha prince also had the bad time?" Braelyn asked herself as she chuckled in amusement.
- "This stupid mate, should I help him or what?" Braelyn asked herself curiously.
- Immediately, a flash of how Cedric brushed her off when they both realized that they were mates suddenly spring up in her head. No need to get your hopes high, I can never be interested in you.
- "That serves him right," Braelyn muttered with a snort and decided to ignore him right there.
- "That serves him right, he can live in the car for all I care," Braelyn uttered with a drunk chuckle and began to walk away.
- A few minutes later, Braelyn's hand was thrown on Cedric's shoulder and Cedric was also on her shoulder while she panted tiredly.
- Perhaps thanks to the Moon goddess, Braelyn can’t bear to see her ruthless ex-mate alone in the car all night.
- "Ah, he's so heavy," Braelyn commented as she led Cedric to his apartment. She was panting, and her face was flushed.
- "Hey, what's your code?" She asked as Cedric panted with a red face. She had led them to his luxurious apartment, but it was locked with a code, so she couldn't enter unless he told her.
- Braelyn couldn't understand and didn't care about what was wrong with Cedric.
- All she just wanted to do was drop him into his apartment and walk back to hers to take a deep rest.
- "Damn it," Braelyn cursed uncontrollably, but suddenly she realized that the door could be unlocked with a fingerprint.
- Braelyn rudely grabbed the drunk Cedric's hands, tried his finger one by one.
- She couldn't help but wonder how Cedric would go out without taking a subordinate. He's so full of himself!
- "Finally! " Braelyn sighed in relief upon dropping Cedric on his chair. She sat down impolitely while gasping for breath, tiredly.
- "Now, I can leave. I'm just being kind or else I'll have kicked you to the curb. I hope you'll remember the good deeds I did for you tonight and would thank me tomorrow, you stupid mate." Braelyn chided and bent slightly to look at Cedric's face.
- Cedric is really handsome. He had a sharp eyebrow, a long nose, fery blue eyes, and kissable pink lips.
- And now the lips were tempting Braelyn, but before she could give in or reject that damn instinct, the close-eyed Cedric suddenly grabbed her hand, and with a slight force she crashed onto his chest.
- "Ahhhh!" Braelyn made a sound out of control.
