- I was standing before him now, and his fingers were tightly wrapped around my arm. My cheeks were streaked with tears, but he didn't seem to care.
- "What did you do today?" He asked as he released me from his hold. I staggered back in relief and watched as he took out a cigarette pack from his pocket. He pulled it open and slipped one out, lighting it up with a metal lighter he produced from his pocket.
