Chapter 4
- Ten years ago
- Veronica Philip
- I stood in front of a fancy restaurant with the name le Prenotazion written in front of the entrance. I crossed checked the address Noah sent me on my phone again to make sure I was at the right place and not somewhere else.
- Does he like Italian food? this was my best restaurant in the whole city. How does he know I love Italian food so much. I knew he was my soulmate deep down. Nothing connects two people together more if not food. It's a way to people's heart and Noah has found mine a billion times already.
- I had to lie to my dad that I was going to the library to do some assignments and I needed nobody guards. So if you guessed I was in my usual disguise wears,so nothing special tonight in my dressing. No dress or fancy shoe and makeup for the date.
- I entered the restaurant with a bright smile on my face. I waved and greeted people as I pass them happily until a waiter came up to me and show me the reservation noah made.
- He choose a perfect spot for us to stay. It was a cool, secretive place where you will be able to see people outside but not inside. A beautiful table as usual was decorated with fancy cups and plates. I continued admiring the place for a long time even though I have been here for a thousand until a male waiter interrupted me.
- "Would you like to order a drink mam?." The young man ask politely.
- There no way I will start eating without the presence of my lovely date. It's rude,After how considerate and thoughtful for going on a date with me.
- "No I will wait until my date arrives." He nodded his head and left me to my thoughts.
- I looked to see other couples enjoying their meals and eachother company privately. soon Noah would arrive and maybe we could be just like them with time.
- I'm sure he likes me, because there's no way you will ask someone on a date when you don't actually like the person right?
- The whole place looked expensive, all thanks to my father's secret investment. We owned ninety percent of the shares here. Making us indirectly owning the restaurant.
- My father owned many chain lines of hotels, clothing lines, shopping malls, airlines etc just to mention a few and one day all those business will be mine to control and under my guidelines. I plan on doing a more better job than my father's.
- I don't let all the things my father owned get into my head , infact I want to make a name for my self ,make my own money with my hands and companies. I don't want to be know as the spoilt princess of America like I have been previously called by the tabloid. Who has only had an opportunity of seeing me once.
- "Mam are you sure you would like nothing to drink? You have been sitted for the past fifteen minutes." The young waiter again interrupted my thoughts. I looked at him from head to toe, noticing the black pants he wore to the white shirt that was stock into the pants and red bow tie to his neck.
- "My date is stuck in the traffic." I lied expertly. It wasn't exactly a lie. The traffic in New York was terrible and if you are not careful you could be stuck there staying on the road for a whole week.
- Ok that last part was a lie.
- "just give me twenty minutes more and if he isn't here I will just order a drink to help myself, Thanks."The waiter looked at me with pity in his eyes,he opened his mouth as if he wanted to say something then shut it back close.
- "Ok mam. Enjoy the rest of your night alone." I could have sworn I heard him say enjoy the rest of your night alone. He was wrong there's no way Noah Williams hottest guy in our school will actually stand me up on Friday night especially when he has better things to do with his time.
- Realization slammed on my face like a large drop of water splattered against my face making me drift back to reality.
- Of course Noah freaking Williams has better things to do with his time than sit here all night with my disguise nobody appearance. He had better women to be with and much better things to do.
- My heart's breaks into million pieces from just finding out the truth. How could I be so naive and blind to think a gorgeous boy like me can have my time or even spare me a minute of his. He must be having the time of his life with a beautiful girl hang to his arms. I have been reading too much books to actually think the likes of Noah Williams will actually like me.
- Instead of feeling more sorry for myself. I signal the waiter to bring me a bottle of wine to start up the night from boring and heart breaking night.
- After two or more shot of wine I lost count , minutes turned into hours and Noah Williams was no we're in sight. Yes I foolishly waited hoping for him to grace me with his presence. I had to leave and stop embarrassing myself any further.
- The kind waiter helped me out of the restaurant as I receive pitful stares from people. He helped me into a uber . I told the Uber driver my address.
- Even with the amount of alcohol I drank I wasn't still drunk because my heart was too broken. Once I stopped in front of my father's mansion, I walked silently into my room ignoring my father's call . My head touched the soft pillow as my body layed on the largest queen size bed. I drifted off to sleep far away from reality to a dream land were all I dreamt about was Noah Williams making passionately love to me. It felt so real.
