• “I – She did that and I’m just now hearing.” I pursed my lips without meaning to, fighting down the jealousy. Cahir beamed, making me self-conscious. I rubbed my arm in annoyance but the feeling tightening my guts didn’t stop.
• “There was no need to tell you something so insignificant.” He ran his thumb on my bottom lip. “My heart feels lighter seeing you all green with envy.” He leaned forward to whisper, his breath fanning against my cheek.
