Chapter 8
- **Annabelle**
- I reached for my wig under the pillow.
- I walked to the mirror to finish getting ready. After applying more lotion to my skin as the other had dried off, I checked the clothes his mom got to find a suitable one to put on. I stared at my reflection in the mirror.
- I did not want to sleep with a wig, but his mom might come in later in the night. Furthermore, I walked to the door, and locked it exhaling in relief. I tucked the wig back under the pillow satisfied with myself. At the same time, the bathroom door clicked open and Fallon walked out.
- Usually and by usually, I meant six years ago. He would leave me breathless. Water dripped from his hair and down his toned abs and even lower. His hair messy and wet as he ruffled it and a towel tied on his waist leaving his upper body bare but now, all I did was hiss and turn away.
- "Still mad I see." His tone laced with mischief, I snorted, laid on the bed and covered myself off. My eyes involuntarily darted to him in front of the mirror. He was about to remove his towel, I moved them away quickly, they closed on their own, my breath quickened.
- "Staring isn't a crime." His voice snapped me out of my trance. I wanted to give him a snarky response, but I settled for hissing again, only this time more loudly.
- Minutes later, he tucked himself into bed. I jumped at our close distance glaring at him. I sighted a few pillows by the closet and I grabbed them, and created a pillow wall between us earning a chuckle from him, I laid back down to see.
- "How mature." He blurted, I raised the blanket to cover my full body, the rain got even heavier.
- Just then, Fallon's phone began to ring. I paid no attention to his conversation until…
- **So what are you wearing. His voice was low, I gagged realizing what he was doing, removed the blanket totally, and raised my head to stare at him. He threw a wink at me making me snort in dismay.
- "It's cold," He justified with a short.
- "Pig." I shoved him the finger trying to get back to sleep.
- "Come on babe, you're driving me crazy." The food from this evening was threatening to come back up in the form of a vomit.
- "Just panties?" He added.
- "Breathe Annabelle, breathe." I chanted like it was so mantra.
- "Fuck I wish I was there." His voice was low and husky, my breaking point. I pushed the blanket off me immediately. I yanked the phone off his hand before he could protest.
- "Hey," I realized I didn't even get a name.
- "I don't even know your name, doesn't matter anyways. You two could continue this lame ass…whatever you're doing, but the fact is, you're over there, and I'm here. So who do you think is going to end up satisfying his needs." My voice was teasing. I heard a girly shriek as she screamed his name. I hung up immediately tossing the phone to him. Not only that, but I cuddled myself back up hoping I would get some rest.
- "You shouldn't have done that." His words went straight into my ears that I didn't realize we were this close. I gulped rolling over. I snapped my eyes open, he was right behind.
- "You know what, I'll sleep on the floor." I said obviously annoyed, grabbed my pillow about to leave, he held me down halting my plan.
- "Annabelle..."
- "Isabelle..." I corrected In a cold tone.
- "You told her you're here to satisfy my needs and do you know what I need now." I sucked in a harsh breath.
- "You know I said that so you two could stop your trash talk."
- "I don't care why you said it, all that matters is you did. So satisfy my needs." He yanked the blanket off me.
- "What's your damn problem!" I yelled standing up.
- "My problem is that I was talking with my girlfriend, you ended it saying you would take her place so, take her place." I wished I could wipe the smirk that formed on his face after those words.
- "I don't know if I haven't been clear enough but Fallon, I want nothing to do with you. I need to sleep so leave me the hell alone." He folded his arm, removing his blankets too, I noticed he was shirtless.
- "Okay then, I'll go back to talking with my girlfriend." He brought out his phone threateningly.
- "Yeah, good luck with that." I scoffed, too tired to even argue. He dialed her number waiting for her to answer.
- "I'll put it on speaker, so you can hear..." He smirked, I rolled my eyes, I grabbed the blanket to cover myself hoping it would cut the sounds.
- "Fuck you Fallon, hope you enjoy riding her. Don't ever call me again!" Her little voice screamed over the phone, I removed my blankets staring at him.
- "Don't you fucking dare." He warned, I arched my back laughing my ass off.
- "Like I said, good luck with that." I said in between laughs.
- "Night Fallon..." I said in a sing sing voice.
- "Good night Annabelle." He responded, the way my name rolled off his tongue made tingle spread out through my skin as I fell into a deep slumber.
- **THE NEXT DAY**
- The rays of the sun illuminated passed through the windows, I tried to get out of bed but was held back as something held my waist. Scratch that, someone. The wall was gone, so Fallon scooted over in the night to hold me wasn't hard, we slept off in that place. It was hard to stop myself from admiring his face, the same face I loved for years, the same who shattered my heart. I removed his hands not so tenderly making him stir in bed. I reached for the wig leaving it on the bedside.
- "I'm going to go shower, you should to. I need to leave as soon as possible." My voice was nowhere near tender, it came out strong and cold. He nodded his head still sleepy.

- Half an hour later, we were both good to go. Dressed and ready. We walked down the stairs together. His parents were already on the breakfast table.
- "Morning Mr and Mrs Mitch." I greeted and they responded with a smile.
- "Morning mom, dad." Fallon greeted.
- "Aren't you staying for breakfast."
- "It's not possible dad. Isabelle needs to leave early." Their faces were so sad I wished I could stay.
- "But we'll visit soon." He added quickly.
- "Alright dear, I'll hold you to that." His mom added, I smiled walking to where she sat. She stood up, offering me a small hug.
- "You two are so alike." She sniffed, it warmed my heart and I gave her a small smile.
- "We'll be leaving now." I announced walking out with Fallon.
- "Well that wasn't a disaster." He remarked.
- "I'm glad it's over, I don't need to see your face again." I put up a fake smile walking ahead of him towards his car.
- ********
- He pulled over in front of my house, I stepped out with my bag not sparing a glance at him.
- Just then, my phone fell out landing on the chair. I reached back to get it and it beeped. His eyes darted to the screen and they darkened.
- "What's this?" He asked, his voice was so cold. I grabbed my phone reluctantly checking the message.
- **I miss you so much, just one more time. Furthermore, I need to have you again** Renée. Likewise, I smiled at the message before cocking my head to his side.**
- "It seems I have a job offer." I clicked my tongue and walked away.
