- "Why do you look gloomy lately?" Lizzy asked while playing with my hair. "Too much work?"
- I shifted my head from Lizzy's hand, feigning amusement. "Not bad. My assistant will be resigning in the next three days, so I have to check a lot of things to keep work running smoothly before finding a replacement."
