• Half an hour later, Zack burst into Elias' office. "Elias! I've got all the information we need on Kayla! She's Quentin Porter's daughter, can you believe that? Though, I guess the surname is common enough that we'd overlook that possibility."
• Elias thought his friend was missing the point yet again. He hadn't asked Zack to investigate Kayla's family background. "Why did she pick on Raven?"
• Zack frowned. "Because on top of being a two-timing skank, she is also a man-stealer." He gave Elias a brief glance, then broke into a small smile as he said, "But I suppose it's a good thing she stole Raven's boyfriend, otherwise she'd never agreed to marry you and I'd never get to meet her. Maybe that's one thing Kayla did right."
