Chapter 40 An Anchor

• Getting to Damon’s chamber, Belinda couldn’t find any of the guards in front of his door. She could guess it was because she was coming that he made all of them leave.
• She proceeded to knock on the door, waiting for his permission before going in. Almost immediately after she knocked, Damon opened the door.
• Before she could say a word, he pulled her into his chamber and shut the door. Pinning her against the door, he began to kiss her again, almost devouring her whole mouth, giving her zero chances to breathe.
