Chapter 8
- 8
- "Strip, Lani." I ordered.
- For one full minute, she just stared at me like I spoke in fucking China.
- "W-What?" She whispered at last.
- "Strip off your clothes and get into the bathtub." I explained impatiently.
- Her face turned paled and horror suddenly blanketed her face. "Surely, y-you can't m-mean that." She stuttered out.
- I frowned, not understanding where the damn look is coming from. I didn't tell her to kill, I said to strip.
- What's so hard in stripping?
- "Get out of your dirty clothes, Lani. And start washing up." I took my time and tried to explain calmly, when all I wanted was to walk closer and tear the clothes from her body.
- She shook her head wildly. "N-Never."
- "Leilani!"
- "Never! I'm not going n-n-naked in front of you!" Her cheeks flushed red.
- I rolled my eyes. "Honey, I'll surely see you naked, that one is out of the question, right now. What's damn important is that you need to fucking wash all those blood off you."
- "You're never s-seeing me naked. Beside, t-those bloods are here because of you." She argued in a tiny voice.
- "Is that my cue to help get it off you?" I smirked as I took a step closer.
- She stepped back so fast, she almost fell from the tub. "Stay away from me!"
- What the hell is wrong with her!? I gritted my teeth in frustration. I took fucking deep breaths to help me calm the fuck down.
- "Don't you want to clean up?" I gritted out.
- "I w-want to."
- Now, we're getting somewhere. "Exactly. Then, start cleaning up."
- "Not with you s-staring at me!"
- Oh. So, that's the fucking problem.
- "I'm not going to touch you, Lani. I just want to be sure you're safe." I don't want to leave her for a second, not after a bastard like Scorpion sniffed around her.
- She shook her head.
- She doesn't want me here? Just the fucking thought of it had me growling in damn anger.
- She is mine. Why the hell does she want to hide herself from me? The answer was beyond me.
- Women always love the idea of stripping for me, they do it all the damn time. Not pride or anything talking, just the goddamn fact.
- But she? I stared at her. She looks like she's fucking drop dead instead of stripping to clean up, not even to fuck.
- I signed. Guns and knifes I can understand. But women.... That gender is a fucking trail to God himself.
- I gritted my teeth in sheer impatience. I don't want her out of my fucking sight, not for a goddamn minute.
- I tried being goddamn civil. "I won't stare. I'll give you my fucking back while you undress and get under the goddamn tub. Your body will be fucking covered by the foams anyway."
- She shook her head wildly again, and wrapped her trembling arms around herself protectively.
- "I-I can't! Please, I can't! Not with you h-here!" She cried out, tears filling her blue eyes again.
- "Shit! Goddamn motherfucker!!" I cursed angrily.
- She burst out crying, shaking her head and shivering on her feet.
- I lost it. I was ready to match to her and tear the clothes from her body when my cellphone rang. I paused and picked up the call.
- It was Morris. I wasn't getting reception from the bathroom, so I glared at Lani, who shrank back from my gaze. I turned and walked out of the bathroom.
- Morris told me that he'd cleaned up my motherfucking mess, he was coming to my place to know why in God's hell I had to off Felaray's goddamn Scorpion in a fucking flower store.
- "The way you're so worked up people will think that asshole is your motherfucking brother. What the hell crawled up your black ass and died anyway?" I growled.
- "Fuck you, asshole. I'm coming around. And you'd better have some kind of edible food already fucking microwaved or I'm gonna chew your balls." He shot back.
- I was about to tell him not to come over that I've got company and the both of us together would only scare the girl to death, but the bastard already hung up.
- I sighed and pocketed the phone. I walked back to the door of the bathroom and turned the doorknob. Locked.
- Fucking knew it.
- "At least, say you're still goddamn alive in there." I shouted.
- "I-I'm still alive." She mumbled but I heard.
- I released the breath I didn't know I held, and walked away to the kitchen to get some stuffs together to make it fucking look edible. Don't know shit about cooking.
- One hour later, a hard knock came from the door. Knowing it's only fucking Morris that would have the balls to try and breaking my fucking door through knocking, I walked to the door and opened it.
- "You look like shit." I stated when I took in his ruffled hair.
- "Thanks to you, asshole. You see the goddamn mess you made in that store? What the hell possessed you to kill that bastard?" He walked to the sofa and threw himself on it.
- I didn't say shit. Not in the mood for the bastard to turn cheesy on me if I tell him about Lani.
- And speaking of Lani....
- I glared at the bathroom. She has been there for over an hour.
- "Any bitch in there? You're staring at that poor door like it's standing between you and your goddamn destiny." Morris drawled.
- "Fuck you, shitbag." I still glared at the door.
