Chapter 7 The Unspoken Confession
- Erica got back to her dorm, dramatically dropping her bag onto her bed and slumping down. Lisa, her roommate, glanced up from her textbook, giving Erica a look that said, "spill the tea or I'll spill it for you."
- "Okay, Erica, spill it. What's with the drama face? Trouble in the world of academia?" Lisa quipped, raising an eyebrow.
- She hesitated initially because she anticipated that the advice her roommate was about to offer might not be to her liking.
- Erica sighed, "Oh, just the usual love affair with Shakespeare and a side dish of complicated emotions."
- Lisa smirked, "Ah, the classic student-professor romance. How cliche. What's the scoop?"
- Rolling her eyes, Erica confessed, "Well, Professor Sebastian and I had this talk after class. You know, the 'let's keep it professional' talk."
- Lisa burst into laughter, "Oh, you're in one of those 'forbidden love' stories, huh? Very Shakespearean, indeed."
- Erica gave her a look, "Come on, this is serious, Lisa! He said we should act like nothing ever happened between us and we both know that something happened."
- Understanding the weight of Erica's feeling, Lisa's eyes widened, "Whoa, hold up. 'Nothing ever happened'? You mean, like, the magical 'erase' button for real-life stuff? That's a bold move."
- Erica nodded, "Exactly! I mean, he's only worried about the school finding out, he showed no concern about our shared moment."
- Lisa bit her lips, and she nodded sagely. "Whoa, that's some heavy stuff. What do you think?"
- Erica sighed, "I don't know, Lisa. It's just... weird. But he's right. We can't let this mess things up for both of us."
- Lisa's expression shifted to seriousness. "Yeah, you're right, Erica. Getting involved with your lecturer might cause trouble. If the school finds out, things could get messy. Professor Sebastian might even lose his job, and you could end up suspended or worse, expelled."
- Erica gulped, the gravity of the situation sinking in. "I didn't think about it that way."
- Lisa nodded, "It's not just about you two anymore. It's about the consequences. We're not in a cheesy romance movie; we're in real life."
- Despite Lisa's stern warning, a mischievous glint appeared in Erica's eyes. "But, you know, there's still something there. I can't just switch off my feelings."
- Lisa raised an eyebrow, "Girl, this is not some Hollywood flick. You need to be careful. Distance yourself emotionally. It's for your own good."
- Erica smirked, "Easy for you to say, Dr. Love Advisoe."
- Lisa rolled her eyes, "I'm serious, Erica. This is not a game. Think about your future, not just a fleeting attraction."
- "I get it! I get it! I get it! I know you would school me." She retorted sternly rolling her eyes.
- There was silence for a moment. She sighed "phnnnn", then continued, "I remember he even mentioned channeling my emotions into my studies. Can you believe that?"
- Lisa mockingly gasped, "How dare he suggest you focus on education in a place of learning? The audacity!"
- They both burst into laughter, and Erica couldn't help but smile. "You're ridiculous, Lisa. But seriously, what do I do? It's like my brain has its own agenda."
- Lisa playfully acted serious and remarked, "Handling crushes is like an age-old trick – just roll your eyes, let out a few sighs, and indulge in some daydreaming. You'll become a pro in no time."
- Erica threw a pillow at her. "You're absolutely no help."
- Lisa caught the pillow and shrugged, "Hey, you're the one in a Shakespearean tragedy. I'm just here for comic relief." They both laughed.
- As Erica ruminated on Lisa's words, a sense of seriousness settled within her. She understood the potential risks of being involved with Professor Sebastian, and the implications for both of them were clear. The school finding out could indeed lead to serious consequences.
- "Lisa's right," Erica thought, shaking her head slightly. "It's not just about me. Professor Sebastian could lose his job, and I could face suspension or worse. This is a lot messier than I thought."
- Despite the gravity of the situation, an unspoken attraction lingered in Erica's thoughts. The chemistry, the connection—they were undeniable. A part of her, against all reason, couldn't easily dismiss the magnetic pull she felt toward Professor Sebastian.
- "But what do I do with these feelings?" she wondered, her brow creasing in thought. "It's not like I can flip a switch and turn them off. Lisa's advice makes sense, but emotions are messy. Can I really distance myself like that?"
- The conflicting emotions played on Erica's face as she grappled with the reality of the situation. The rational part of her knew the risks and dangers, but the heart had a mind of its own.
- "This is not a game," Lisa's words echoed in her mind, a reminder of the seriousness of the situation.
- As Erica pondered the complexities, a sigh escaped her lips "phnnnn".
- Later that night, as Erica buried herself in her textbooks studying for a quick test, the quiet hum of the room couldn't drown out the clear memory that suddenly overshadowed her thoughts.
- She thought about the passionate night with Professor Sebastian, remembering all the heated moments. It felt like watching a movie, and it brought back feelings that briefly made her feel lost in their shared attraction.
- She vividly replayed in her mind the sequence of events—how his hands began to caress her body with a tenderness that enveloped her, the way he gently cradled her in his arms, the passion of his kisses that ignited a fiery connection, and the firm display of his masculinity that unfolded.
- The memory continued to unfold, recalling the intensity with which he fondled her naked breasts and explored her belly slowly, each touch a deliberate stroke that set her skin ablaze. She continued recalling how his attention descended, tracing a path down to the wetness that gradually spread between her thighs.
- In the midst of this mental replay, she couldn't deny how she felt relaxed and safe in his experienced arms.
- The memory lingered, enticing and distracting her from the pages of her book. The way his touch felt, the intensity of their connection, the memorable and passionate sex — it all came rushing back, an irresistible force that momentarily cast a shadow over her academic focus.
- With a shake of her head, Erica snapped out of the trance, realizing she needed to regain control of her thoughts. Closing her textbook, she sighed deeply. "I can't let this affect my studies. It was just one night, and it shouldn't define my entire academic journey."
