Chapter 5 Healing Bonds: Dr Manu's Prescription For The Varma Family

  • Upon hearing this, Priya revealed her role, saying, "I am the principal of the school you're going to join.
  • Doubtfully, the musician inquired, "So, you are Mrs. Priya Chowdhary?"
  • Priya responded with a bright smile, "Yes."
  • With that, both Priya and Maitri left the temple. As they walked away, Maitri turned back and waved bye to Kalyan with a warm smile.

  • Dr. Manu made his way to the Varma Group of Industries and entered Siddharth Varma's cabin. Taking a seat in front of Siddharth, he couldn't shake off an uneasy feeling about Nikki, the secretary, who was seated on the couch.
  • "Shall we talk personally, Siddharth?" Manu suggested.
  • Siddharth dismissed any concerns, saying, "It's okay, we can talk. She is my personal secretary," and Nikki smiled in response. Dr. Manu felt a mix of anger and suspicion toward both of them.
  • " Siddharth, I didn't come here for a business deal. Let me remind you, I am here to discuss your son Vikram. As a doctor, I need a private space for this conversation," Manu asserted, emphasizing the need for a more personal and confidential discussion about the matters concerning Vikram.
  • Siddharth signaled Nikki to leave the room, and she glared at Dr. Manu before making her exit.
  • "Tell me, Manu," Siddharth urged.
  • Dr. Manu began, "Do you know how your son spoke yesterday? He told me to come straight to the point. Today, after seeing you, I truly understood what his point is. Your son wants me to advise you—specifically, to remove your secretary. When he first mentioned it, I didn't quite understand, but now it's becoming clearer."
  • Siddharth looked at Dr. Manu in shock as the words sank in.
  • Dr. Manu reiterated, "You heard me right. Your son said this. Don't dare to lie to me. Who is that lady Nikki, damn it?"
  • Siddharth attempted to explain, "Manu, you misunderstood."
  • "Just shut up! I said just shut up," Dr. Manu sternly interrupted. "Don't forget you're talking to a psychiatrist. I can discern a person's character by observing their behavior. Just put an end to this. I don't want that lady here."
  • "I truly don't know what your son understands about you and that lady. He didn't elaborate on it to me. I'm warning you, if you want a happy life, if you want a relationship with your son, you need to stop this. More than your son, it's you who needs counseling," Dr. Manu emphasized, highlighting the urgency of addressing the underlying issues affecting Siddharth's personal and family life.
  • Siddharth looked down, absorbing Dr. Manu's words.
  • Dr. Manu continued, "I suggest that after clearing up your nonsense take a trip with your family.
  • Dr. Manu, having delivered his advice, left the room.

  • Siddharth returned home late at night, and after freshening up, he sat on the couch. His wife brought him a glass of milk, and he gently held her hand, making her sit beside him. With a sincere expression, he said, "I am very sorry, Aruna."
  • Aruna looked at him with confusion, not understanding the reason behind his apology. Siddharth, gazing into her eyes, thought to himself, "If you were to discover that I cheated on you, you might never want to see my face again. I'm asking for forgiveness; that's why I am saying sorry."
  • Concerned, she asked, "Siddharth, are you okay?"
  • Manu suggested that we should plan a family trip. Tomorrow, let's discuss it with everyone and decide where we should go," Siddharth said with a hopeful smile.
  • Aruna smiled brightly in response and said, "Moreover, tomorrow is Sunday. We can all discuss it together."

  • Maitri busily baked a cake, occasionally checking on her mother. The small living room, adorned with minimalist furniture, underwent a transformation as Maitri decorated it for the birthday celebration. Balloons added bursts of color, creating a festive atmosphere. The aroma of melting chocolate filled the air as she prepared a delightful chocolate cake, placing it carefully on the table.
  • Stepping away from her preparations, Maitri approached her mother, gently waking her. As her mother sat up, she asked, "Maitri, you haven't slept yet?"
  • Maitri responded with a bright smile, embracing her mother. "Happy birthday, darling," she exclaimed
  • "Close your eyes, Mom. I have a surprise for you," Maitri instructed, blindfolding her mother. Leading her by the hand, she guided her to the living room and carefully seated her in front of a table adorned with a beautifully decorated cake. Gently removing the blindfold, Maitri's mother was pleasantly surprised and felt immense joy seeing the efforts her daughter had put into making the cake and decorating the room.
  • Thank you very much, darling. This is the best birthday surprise," her mother expressed her happiness, pulling Maitri onto her lap. "Now, let's cut the cake together."
  • Both mother and daughter shared the joy of cutting the cake, playfully feeding each other bites of the delicious chocolate creation. Their laughter echoed through the home as they engaged in a friendly competition, breaking balloons and reveling in the simple yet delightful moments of celebration. The atmosphere was filled with the warmth of shared joy, creating lasting memories on this special birthday celebration. The home resonated with the sounds of their laughter and the clinking of cutlery, encapsulating the essence of a cherished and joyous family moment.

  • Vikram got ready and informed his mom, "I'll be right back." Before she could inquire further, he left in the car. His mother sighed, thinking, "He's hardly twelve years old. Oh, God, him and his attitude."
  • The driver halted the car in front of the villa, adorned with a nameplate that read "Dr. Manu." Vikram, carrying a small gift box and a bouquet of flowers, stepped out of the car and made his way into the home.
  • Upon entering the living room, Vikram looked around for Dr. Manu and greeted, "Manu Uncle." Dr. Manu emerged from the kitchen, wearing a cooking apron and humming a song. He welcomed Vikram, saying, "Hello, super hero! What a pleasant surprise"
  • Dr. Manu playfully took a chef's hat, dramatically bowed, and theatrically announced, "Welcome to my home, Mr. Vikram Varma."
