Chapter 3 Unseen Changes Within

  • Sebastian turned his head to find a stunningly beautiful naked woman standing before him.
  • Her fair complexion, delicate features, and graceful figure were breathtaking, as if she had stepped out of a painting. Her ample chest, which seemed almost excessive, was especially attention-grabbing—undeniably a size D.
  • So I really am dead. Is this heaven? Sebastian stared at her, completely captivated. The sight was so overwhelming that he started bleeding from his nose without realizing it.
  • "Doctor! Doctor!" The woman panicked at the sight of his nosebleed and shouted.
  • Sebastian rubbed his eyes, and the scene in front of him changed.
  • The beautiful woman was now fully dressed, everything appearing normal again. She wore light makeup, a designer trench coat, and carried a brand-new designer handbag, clearly someone of wealth and privilege. However, her face showed visible anxiety and fear.
  • "I’m fine," he said, stopping her from shouting further.
  • "I’m so glad you woke up. My name is Evelyn Rowe. I’m the one who hit you. I’m so sorry," she said apologetically.
  • "Please rest and recover here. I’ll cover all your medical expenses, nutritional fees, and lost wages." From her attire, she could tell that she had hit a delivery boy.
  • Sebastian didn’t respond. He was still struggling to adapt to the changes he was experiencing. Besides, his body felt overwhelmingly alive and powerful, while his mind processed a flood of new memories and information.
  • Could the crash have left him brain-damaged? Evelyn wondered, growing more anxious as Sebastian remained silent.
  • Focusing his thoughts, Sebastian was startled when the woman appeared naked again. Shocked, he quickly adjusted his focus, and the scene changed once more. This time, he saw her internal anatomy—blood vessels, organs, bones, and muscles—all in perfect detail.
  • Have I developed X-ray vision?
  • Just as Sebastian reeled from the discovery, a man in his fifties wearing a white coat entered the room with several medical staff.
  • The doctor, Henry Massey, froze upon seeing Sebastian sitting up.
  • "How are you awake so quickly?"
  • "Dr. Henry, please check on him," Evelyn said.
  • "Of course, Ms. Rowe," Henry replied, stepping forward to examine Sebastian.
  • "Pulse is normal, heart rate is normal, and the injuries seem to have vanished… How is this possible? Last night, I treated you. Your bones and organs were severely damaged. How could they have healed completely? This is unbelievable." Henry muttered to himself as he continued his examination.
  • For her to involve someone like Dr. Henry… Evelyn must be someone important, Sebastian thought.
  • "He seems to be having some issues here," Evelyn said, pointing to her temple.
  • Sebastian couldn’t help but smile internally. I just don’t feel like talking.
  • "And earlier, his nose started bleeding…"
  • "Let’s run a comprehensive exam later," Henry suggested.
  • At that moment, the emergency room doors flew open. A middle-aged man with a slightly overweight build rushed in, carrying a girl about eight or nine years old.
  • The girl was pale and in pain, her head drenched in sweat and her eyes tightly closed. Her condition was clearly critical.
  • "Doctor, please save my daughter!" the man pleaded desperately.
  • "Dr. Henry, we just received a call from Mr. Alan at the Health Bureau. He asked us to do everything possible for this patient," a nurse who had followed behind added.
  • "Quickly, place her on this bed," Henry said. Realizing the urgency of the request, he immediately began examining the girl.
  • "What happened to her?"
  • "She was fine yesterday, but this morning, she developed a high fever. We gave her fever medicine, but it didn’t work. It only got worse," the man explained anxiously.
  • "Her temperature is already at 104 degrees. We need to bring it down immediately. Administer a specialized fever-reducing injection and start physical cooling!" Henry ordered, drawing on his extensive experience.
  • The treatment worked. The girl’s fever began to subside, and her complexion started to improve. Everyone in the room breathed a sigh of relief.
  • At that moment, another middle-aged man entered the room.
  • Henry quickly approached him. "Mr. Alan, the patient’s condition has been stabilized."
  • The newcomer, Alan Faulkner from the Health Bureau, sighed in relief.
  • "Thank you, Mr. Alan and Dr. Henry," said the man who had brought in the girl.
  • "You’re too kind, Mr. Simon. This is our duty," Henry replied.
  • The man was Simon Haynes, a renowned tycoon from Southwynd.
  • Simon owned vast business holdings across multiple cities, focusing on high-end restaurants, hotels, and entertainment venues like singing lounges.
  • Known for his generosity and philanthropy, Simon donated millions annually to health and charity causes, earning praise from provincial and city leaders. Although a businessman, his reputation ensured that even Alan treated him with great respect.
  • "Dr. Henry, your skills are remarkable," Simon said gratefully.
  • "She just needs medication and rest to recover fully," Henry assured him.
  • As the three men talked, Sebastian, lying on a nearby hospital bed, observed the young girl’s condition and frowned.
  • He thought, something isn’t right.
