Chapter 10
- Ava's POV
- As I sat in my room with Mia, I decided to share my thoughts with her.
- “Mia.” She looked at me. “I've been reflecting on the events that led me to this point. I just realized that my life has been shaped by my father's choices, including my marriage to Quill.”
- Mia smiled. “Ava, you're skilled at handling interpersonal relationships and I've noticed that you've never questioned your father's choices and decisions before. But now that you're all grown up, you need to ask yourself what you really want.”
- I pondered on Mia's words. “Well,” I start explaining. “My father, he’s a really stubborn man. He's strict and protective in nature and all my life has been making life-changing decisions for me.”
- I stop to think then continue, “Remember, when he had sent me to a boarding school when I was younger to receive a proper education?”
- Mia nodded. “Yes I do.”
- I press my lips into a thin line. “I had protested a lot. I wanted to stay at home with you and Quill. I even wanted to join a healing apprenticeship program. Despite my reasons, he still insisted. He argued that I needed to get an education, and that was the only way I could be successful in life.”
- Mia snapped her fingers. “Oh, remember that day?—there was a conference of natural healers that day. You told me about it. I remember how sad you were when you missed it.”
- My heart dropped at the memory. “Why wouldn't I be sad. It was the only opportunity I had to connect with veteran healers from across the wolf clans. That day, he had forbidden me from leaving the estate without his permission. He was only afraid that if I left, something dreadful would happen to me. And I understand that he was worried and didn't want to take any chances, but then, now that I’m nineteen—an adult!—he arranged a marriage for me without even consulting me first!”
- Tears fill my eyes at the realization. “I’d even wanted to pursue a career in music, but refused it, believing that my true calling was to be a mother and housewife.” I dartef my eyes to look at Mia who was now looking at me with concern. “He had even picked out a suitable husband for me, someone who he believed would be able to support me and provide for me financially so I didn't have to worry about it.”
- Mia shook her head. “What do you want to do about it now?”
- An idea popped into my head. "Maybe I should pack my bags and run away or even join William's motorcycle club when they go on tour. That's a good idea right?”
- "Are you mad? Your Dad would be devastated!" Mia shouted.
- A servant entered my room, breaking me away from my conversation with Mia. She carried a small tray with a cup of milk.
- "Here you are, my lady," she said, setting the tray down on the small table beside my bed. "Is there anything else you need?"
- I picked up the cup and took a few sips, gazing out the window at the starlit night sky. I took a deep breath. "Thank you, but I’ll be fine.”
- I handed the cup back to the servant.
- The bowed and walked out of the room.
- I stood by the window while Mia watched me, the soft glow of moonlight cascading over my body.
- “No wonder William was so attracted to you,” Mia commented randomly.
- “What do you mean?”
- She closed the book that she was reading. “Well, look at you in that small nightgown. It's showing off those nice curves. And your skin, so smooth and inviting!”
- I looked at my reflection on the window to check what Mia had been talking about. My body was a vision of feminine grace.
- “He must have thought your slender neck and the slope of your shoulders were extremely alluring,” she started again. “And I've always been jealous of those peeking collarbones.”
- “Why are you telling me all this?” I asked.
- She shrugged. “Just noticing what William likes so much about you.”
- Her blue eyes checked my waist out. “You have really tantalizing curves, it could draw any man in.”
- I blushed at her compliments.
- “Hmm… even those long legs. They seem to go on for miles,” she teased. “Your figure is a real masterpiece, Ava. And wolfmen like William seem to like that innocence and sensuality. Trust me, I've met some like him.” She winked.
- “Oh please.” I flushed. “I’d like to sleep now. I don't get the use of these compliments and descriptions.”
- I walked to my bed and laid on it.
- Mia just laughed and walked over to the door. She stopped on her way out and teased, “I don't know… it's just any guy who saw the way under that moonlight would have really been lucky… and tempted.”
- I laid deeper into my bed, self-conscious. “You don't really mean that, do you?”
- She was already gone.
- I laid back, in deep thoughts. I sat up again, gazing out at the night sky. My eyes were drawn to the flash of lightning. It was followed by a deafening clap of thunder.
- “Why do I feel this powerful longing in my heart? What's it for?” I asked myself before walking over to my windows and shutting my curtains.
- “I just want to be free… to break free from the expectations and restrictions of society-” my thoughts were interrupted by a faint tapping on my window.
- “Who could it be?” I ingnored it but then the sound grew louder and louder.
- Standing up, I walked cautiously to the window with trembling hands.
- Carefully, I pulled back the curtains to see who it was but just as I did, a man jumped in, startling me.
- “Ah-” I tried to scream, but a large hand covered my mouth.
- I started to feel so powerless and weak, but then, to my fright—and surprise—William greeted me with a mischievous smile, “Hello, she-wolf.”
- I was still terrified.
- “I missed you, love,” he admitted but I kept shut, refusing to admit it too.
- “Who does your father think he is restricting you?” He criticized.
- "I know," I whispered. I couldn't help but agree with him.
- “But… William, nobody can know you're here.” I looked back scared. “We have to be careful. We can’t let anyone see you.”
- "Don't worry, I won't let that happen," William reassured me but I was still worried.
- "You don't understand William. We need to be extremely quiet."
- William nodded. "I understand, little one. Just remember that as long as you are with me, nothing can hurt you. I promise."
- I took a deep breath, my heart still racing.
- “I should not be doing this,” I thought. “But I’m so attracted to William.”
- I stood there in his arms, my heart pounding with excitement. I could feel his bulge pressing against me.
- "Oh, Luna, I so want him to rip me apart with his god shaft,” I thought to myself.
- He soon let go of me and I watched in shock as William walked over to my bed and jumped on it.
- "You should get me a towel." His voice filled with arrogance.
- I gasped, thinking: “The audacity! He just trespassed into my room and is now asking for a towel? After making me feel so frightened and… horny?”
- He looked at me. "Hello? Can't you hear me? I waited outside for a long time, and I even got soaked in the rain!"
- I could feel my blood beginning to boil.
- "How dare you!" I yelled, my voice shaking with anger. "You have no right to be in my room, let alone ask for things. You need to leave, now and if you are not gone in five minutes, I will scream and alert the guards."
- William chuckled. "Oh, calm down. We both know you're not going to do that. You are too much of a good girl to make a fuss,” he teased.
- Annoyed, I grabbed a towel from the bathroom and threw it at him.
- “What are you doing,” I demanded as soon as William began to take off his clothes.
- “My clothes are wet Ava.”
- I quickly closed my eyes, unable to see him without a shirt. My heart raced.
- “I can't lash out at him; I might lose control and let him fuck me again.” I sighed. “This is all too much for me. I am so close to passing out.”
- I laid down on my bed next to William, unable to keep myself from watching his chest rise and fall with his breathing.
- Suddenly, William shifting slightly and I felt the warmth of his body next to mine.
- “Mmm,” he hummed in his sleep, shifting closer to me, his breath tickling my cheek as he breathed in and out.
- "Wow, wow, wow Ava, snap out of it and deal with the stranger in your room!" I heard fingers snapping and gasped, coming back to reality after drifting into a daydream.
- “Oh!” I breathed as soon as I snapped out of my daydream to the reality of the half naked, irritating wolfman standing in front of me, wiping his perfectly chiseled body dry.
