Chapter 5 Loosing The Game!

  • Valerina's POV
  • Was it a bad decision to run? It's his forest, he knows every inch of it. Will I be able to make it to that door?
  • I kept running until I was out of breath. I can't see anything here other than huge trees and black soil. There is no sign of life.
  • I wonder if I am really running in the forest or it's just an illusion. Still I kept running and tree branch slapped on my arm telling me that it's reality.
  • I am barefoot and my feet are bleeding but I can't feel the pain, all I want is escape.
  • Sun is about to set. Sky is leaving it's colours faster than my running steps. If it turns dark then only God can save me.
  • I cried in frustration when I couldn't keep up my space. I am loosing it. I looked at the sky and my heart sank. Sun is down and I nowhere.
  • I don't even know if I on the right path. I looked around, tears are continuously flowing from my eyes.
  • I didn't stop but loud cry escaped from my lips when I stumbled and fell on the ground. My toe started bleeding.
  • "Someone please help me."
  • I cried even after knowing that there is no one to help me.
  • I got up and limped. He haven't shown any signs of being around, I can always smell his scent when he is around but now there is none. May be he is not following me but I shouldn't be so naive to think that he will let me go so easily.
  • I know if I couldn't make it then he will come for me and I don't want to think about the consequences.
  • I wiped my tears and sat under the tree tiredly, I am lost. I am out of breath, my legs are hurting badly, my feet are covered in my own blood. I don't know where I am or where I should go now. I don't even know the way to go back.
  • What did I do to deserve this?
  • My back stiffened when I heard rustling sounds. It's like horses are running. I hid myself behind the huge tree under which I am sitting. I turned my head and clasped my mouth when I saw the scenario. These are not horses, these are wolves. Bigger than the size of average horse.
  • Fear rushed in my body and I stopped myself from screaming.
  • These are not normal wolves, Normal wolves are not this big.
  • What is this world? What are these creatures?
  • My heart skipped a beat when one reddish wolf stopped and sniffed at the direction of the tree where I am sitting.
  • No! No! Please don't come here. I internally cried. He can eat me in one bite.
  • I clasped my mouth tightly and held on my breath.
  • He sniffed for a moment and then followed his pack, they are almost six in numbers.
  • I sighed in relief when the pack finally left.
  • I turned my head and almost screamed when I saw those red eyes in front of me.
  • He clasped my mouth and stopped me from screaming.
  • "Game over, Kitten!..."
  • He smirked.
  • Tears started flowing from eyes again.
  • He grabbed my hand and made me stand.
  • "Please let me go..."
  • I pleaded when he started dragging me along with him.
  • "Why don't you tell me that what do you want?"
  • I cried and he ignored me.
  • "Please! "
  • He is too strong to fight with his hold.
  • "At least tell me your name. "
  • He stopped and slowly turned his head towards me.
  • "Go!"
  • He let go my hand and I looked at him confused.
  • "Hide! If I couldn't find you within fifteen minutes then you are free to go."
  • He smirked.
  • I know that there are 99% chances that I won't win against him but I am ready to take that 1% chance. I turned on my heels and started running towards the opposite direction.
  • I took few steps ahead and halted in my place when I saw the same reddish wolf running towards me.
  • Oh God! He is attacking me.
  • I screamed but before the wolf could pounce it was thrown away from me. I looked at him shocked, how could he fight with the big wolf. They collided in the air, few feets up from my head and he easily overpowered the wolf.
  • They both landed on the ground and I jumped back when he broke the jaw of that wolf.
  • It whimpered and finally released its last breath.
  • I looked at him terrified when he looked at me.
  • "Didn't I tell you to hide?"
  • He said and started running again.
  • Another grey wolf attacked, it's from the same pack. I hid behind the tree and looked at them.
  • He grabbed the wolf by throat and slammed on the ground like it weights nothing. Wolf struggled under him and he finally broke it's neck.
  • How much power he holds to break wolves like wooden sticks?
  • I closed my eyes when he tore the third wolf in half. He is monster. He is moving faster than wolves, how am I supposed to fight against this man.
  • He holds the power of mountains, he runs faster than air and is dangerous like a fire.
  • I am mere human against him, I can't run from him. Not when he knows that I am trying to run. He is just playing with me and I can't let him do that.
  • He killed the whole wolf pack within minutes and what terrifying is, there is not even a drop of blood on his white shirt.
  • He directly walked towards me like he knows where I am hiding. I clutched on the tree trunk when he stood in front of me like he haven't just fought with six big wolves. He is not even breathing heavily, hell! He never breaths.
  • I tried to control my tears but couldn't.
  • He smirked.
  • "Augustus!... You can call me Augustus! "
  • I screamed when he threw me on his shoulder so easily like he is placing piece of paper in his pocket.
  • "You loose again, Kitten!"
  • I couldn't even struggle.
