Chapter 10 Fighting The Flames
- Sofia pushed away from Marco, her breaths coming in short, sharp gasps. Her lips still burned from the kiss. She wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, her eyes blazing with defiance as she tried to shake off the dizzying effect of his touch.
- "Don’t think for a second that you can break me," she spat, her voice low but fierce. Her hands trembled at her sides, but she kept them clenched into fists, refusing to show the vulnerability threatening to surface.
- Marco merely watched her, his dark eyes unwavering, a slow smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. He took a step closer, his presence both magnetic and suffocating. "I’m not trying to break you, Sofia," he said quietly, his voice almost tender. "I’m trying to make you realize what you truly want."
