• By the time Alex arrived at the back of the mountain, it was already late in the afternoon. At that point, rain had started to fall, making the mountain path more difficult to traverse. However, for Alex, these challenges were hardly a problem at all.
• As he neared the mass grave, he indeed felt an unsettling shift in the atmosphere. The eeriness was occasionally punctuated by chilling gusts of wind that sent shivers down his spine.
• After the rain, a good number of mushrooms had sprouted on the mountain. The air carried a distinct scent of damp earth, but as one got closer to the back of the mountain, the air was tinged with the faint, unsettling smell of decaying flesh.
