• Once King and I return to the clubhouse, my mind is a blur of tension and dread. Tomorrow, we'll be walking into Bones's territory, and anything could go wrong. I barely have time to dwell on it, though, because as we head down the hallway towards my room, I'm suddenly pulled into another room across the hall by my arm.
• I yelp, but the sound is swallowed by a mouth on mine, Niko's familiar scent filling my nostrils. His hands slide down my shoulders, pushing my jacket off, and with a sharp tug, he rips my shirt right down the middle.
