Chapter 11 DEPRESSED
- It was eight o'clock in the morning, and the melodious sweet noise of the birds chirping just woke me up. My eyes fall to the empty space beside me on the bed, like they always do every single morning.
- As always, today is no exception. Jerol is not with me.
- This is what has been going on for the last one month. He wakes up at the crack of dawn, and locks himself either in the study or in the gym room. He barely talks, and sometimes I am forced to nearly beg him to eat. I don't even know how his company is doing at the moment, but I doubt it's running smoothly because Jerol has not left this house for a full calendar month. I know he has managers who supervise the work for him, but still, he needs to be there for his company. It's a multi-billion company for freaking sake! How can you entrust such a huge company to some people? As the saying goes, money is the root cause of all evil, and so do I believe.
