Chapter 8 Stop Pretending To Be So Chaste
- The girl on the other side of Steven was irked upon seeing that her spotlight had been robbed from her. She picked up a bottle of red wine and poured a full glass of it. “Here, Mr. Miller. Have some wine!”
- “Sure. There’s no reason for me to refuse a toast from a pretty lady!” Steven hugged the girl’s waist as he leaned forward to drink from the glass in her hand, chugging it down in one go.
- Noelle felt nauseated and wanted to leave immediately, but just as she stood, Steven grabbed her and pulled her down again. “Ms. Hooper, where do you think you’re going? You haven’t even had anything to drink.”
- Steven’s breath reeked of alcohol, causing Noelle to turn away. He leaned toward her to the point where he was almost directly on her lap.
- Noelle frowned in displeasure but she tried to not let it show on her face. “Mr. Miller, I’ll have to pass. I’m not a good drinker.”
- “You must be joking, Ms. Hooper. Drinking is a norm in the entertainment industry, is it not?” After polishing off a whole glass of wine, Steven’s true colors were revealed. He stared at Noelle with a wicked gleam in his eyes. His eyes roamed all over her body as if stripping her naked. Then, he shoved a glass of wine right toward her lips. “Come, have a drink with me!”
- Noelle remained stubborn, prompting Steven to pry open her mouth with one hand as he forcibly poured the wine into her mouth.
- Violent coughs shuddered through Noelle’s body and she cursed at Steven’s ancestors for bringing a man like him into the world.
- “Oh, you really can’t drink... My bad, I should’ve been more considerate toward the fairer sex...” Steven patted her back before he trailed his hand lower and lower as his other hand worked to caress her shoulder.
- “Mr. Miller!” Noelle’s face darkened and she shook off his wandering hands. She stood up and suppressed her anger. “Sorry, but I’m not feeling well today. I’ll have to take my leave first. Please enjoy your party, Mr. Miller!”
- “Did I say that you could leave?” Displeased that Noelle was disrespecting him, Steven waved his hand menacingly, causing everyone in the private room, men and women alike, to scamper out of the door.
- The girl who was sitting on the other side of Steven even rolled her eyes at Noelle in jealousy before she left, muttering a curse under her breath.
- “There, you don’t need to feel embarrassed now, Ms. Hooper.” The door closed and the insidious expression on Steven’s face eased slightly, but the smile that had spread across his lips was wicked as he placed both hands on her shoulders and pushed her down to sit on the sofa.
- “See, you’re not some pure and innocent gal, so stop pretending to be so chaste! I’ve seen all of your nudes, and I must say, you have an amazing body! Come and have some fun with Daddy, if I am satisfied, I will support you as the female lead tomorrow. What do you say? You saw those girls outside, yes? They’re all tripping over themselves trying to climb into my bed, but I’m giving this opportunity only to you. Shouldn’t you feel lucky that I’m treating you so well, hmm?”
- He wrapped an arm around Noelle’s waist and placed the other hand on her lap, brazenly kneading her thigh through her dress.
- The feeling of his hand was rather revolting. Noelle bit her lip, once again enduring her nausea to take his hand off her. “Mr. Miller, you’re mistaken. What use is this opportunity to a showbiz flop like me? I think that you should give the opportunity to those ambitious girls outside instead.”
- “Enough!” Steven’s attitude took a drastic turn upon seeing her rudely reject his offer. “I gave you an inch and you want to take a mile? I will have you today! What else do you think Shining Entertainment sent you here for? If you don’t satisfy me tonight, Shining Entertainment can forget about getting me to invest a dime!”
- Invest? Noelle snorted coldly. That’s none of my business!
- She stood up and walked to the door, but when she twisted the doorknob, her heart turned to ice. What’s going on?
- Why isn’t the handle budging? Is it locked from the outside?
- Cold sweat trickled down her back.
- “Did you think that you could run?” Steven sniggered as he tugged off his tie. He leisurely picked up a small packet of white powder from the marble table, tore it open, and poured its contents into a glass of liquor.
- A soft effervescing sound could be heard as the white powder dissolved in the hard liquor. Steven swirled the glass and gulped down half of the liquor before handing the remaining half to Noelle. “Finish it! I promise you that you’ll feel like you’re floating in the clouds!”
- Noelle was highly strung as she stared at the glass of liquor. By then, cold sweat had covered her entire body.
- If she wasn’t mistaken, Steven had drugged it. Sophia had once said that rich people liked to fool around like this. Once they got high, they would use women as their outlets.
- Steven continuously extended the glass out to her. Her whole body tensed up as she soon backed away in terror.
- The drug soon took its effect on the man’s body, causing his eyes to burn with lust. When he saw Noelle remaining motionless, he lunged forward.
- “Don’t be scared... Noelle... Daddy will make you feel good...” Noelle was thrown onto the sofa by Steven. As he coaxed her, his hands moved to eagerly tear off her clothes.
- Despair flooded through Noelle like a tidal wave as she tried to kick him in between the legs.
- However, she had underestimated Steven’s fighting spirit.
- The moment she lifted her leg, he pressed it firmly down with his own, completely immobilizing her.
- “Mr. Miller, no... Wait, just wait...” Noelle held her clothes together, calming her nerves to rack her mind for a way to escape.
- To deal with a man like Steven, she could only use her brains to outwit him.
- “Stop playing hard to get!” Steven’s lust had already clouded his rationality as his movements visibly grew rougher.
- Desperate for an escape route, an idea popped into Noelle’s mind as she momentarily shouted, “I want to drink! Mr. Miller, I want to drink!” She pushed away from the man’s face with everything in her.
- Noelle turned her head as she stared longingly at the half-drank glass of alcohol. “Mr. Miller, didn’t you say that this kind of liquor tastes very good? I want to try some too...”
- “Why didn’t you say so?” Steven squinted at her with a lewd grin. He grabbed the glass and pushed it into Noelle’s hand.
- As the coolness of the glass touched her skin, Noelle wanted so badly to just crush it.
- She scoured the room and spotted half a bottle of imported wine on the table. Without hesitation, she leaned over the pick it up.
- “It seems like half a glass isn’t enough for you, eh?” Steven stared at Noelle with intrigue.
- “Mr. Miller, what happened to us having fun tonight? Of course, we should drink to our hearts’ content.” Noelle brought the glass to Steven’s lips and during the split second he lowered his head, she swung the bottle of wine in her other hand at his head, planning to catch him off guard.
- Unexpectedly...
- There was no blood, nor screams of agony.
- She had missed her target because Steven had dodged her attack.
- “Playing dirty with me, aren’t ya? You’re quite the daredevil, Noelle!” Steven narrowed his beady eyes and abruptly gripped Noelle’s chin, running his rough fingertips over her lips in an uninhibited manner. “Nevertheless, I completely dig that!”
- Like a tiger pouncing on its prey, he launched himself at Noelle, kissing her neck while tearing off her clothes.
- “I’m Dominic Pierce’s woman. Before you touch me, you’d better think about the consequences!” Her survival instincts kicked in and the words left her lips before she could fully realize it.
- The weight on her body was gone in an instant. Steven stood there panting heavily, his lust greatly unsatisfied; in spite of that, he was extremely disconcerted by what Noelle had just told him.
- Dominic Pierce is the God of Fortune in J City. Even the scraps left by Pierce Group are a fortune in itself. Noelle has said that she is Dominic Pierce’s woman! Steven rubbed his chin, caught in a dilemma.
- Noelle seized the moment as she got up from the sofa to tidy her clothes.
- There’s no turning back now. I’ll have to borrow your name for my own benefit today, Dominic Pierce!
- “Stop bluffing, Noelle! You’re a loose woman. The Hayes family doesn’t even want you. Do you really expect me to believe that Dominic Pierce would? If you try any more tricks on me, I’ll make you wish you were dead!” Steven was growling fiercely, but he was still intimidated by the mention of Dominic, so he kept a distance from Noelle. However, he wasn’t easily deceived either.
- “Mr. Miller, do you really think that I’d pull such a joke at a time like this?”
- “Fine. Call Mr. Pierce right now. It’s not safe for a girl to be out so late at night. If Mr. Pierce really is your boyfriend, he’ll come to pick you up no matter the time!” Steven stroked his beard with a cunning grin.
- Panic surged in Noelle. I should have known that it wouldn’t be easy to trick this sly old man. How am I going to call him when I don’t even have his number?
- “Aren’t you going to call him?” Steven advanced on her, backing her into a corner. Then, he caressed her elegant neck, lingering on the spot for a moment before he abruptly shoved his hand below her neckline.
- “I’ll call him!”
