• “Jane Lockwood!” Lucy exclaimed, her voice trembling, as she rushed over to the bed she was lying on. Touching her pale face, which was cold to touch, she choked on her sob. “I knew you were still alive, but they didn't believe me.”
• Dylan's expression turned puzzled seeing his girlfriend's reaction. “You know her?”
• Lucy nodded, tears streaming down her face. “We were friends since childhood, she disappeared a year ago.”
