Chapter 8
- Samantha's POV
- I would still be snuggling my pillow while sleeping if not for the continues knocking on the door.
- Not again...
- I tried to cover my ears with a pillow hoping that whoever is knocking would get tired.
- A few minutes had past but the knocking hasn't stop. I grunt as I open my eyes. I put down the pillow that I used in covering my face.
- I checked the clock beside the table and noticed that it's just a quarter past eight. Considering how I had barely enough sleep, this is like, still midnight on her body clock and no one can tell me otherwise.
- Fuck you. She's not the type of person to curse but heck, no, not today.
- Whoever this person is, I'm dying to smack him real hard on the back of the head.
- I slowly put away my blanket. I hate it when someone woke me up on my sleep. I remember kicking Jake really hard before when he tried to wake me up.
- I barely had any sleep as I went to bed at almost four earlier.
- I slowly made my way through the door and was greeted by Jason and Vash. The sheepish grin showing on their lips tells me they are up to no good. And I was never wrong when it come to these two. If there’s something I learned from being with them these past few weeks, these two are like mostly the happy pill of the group. They are so loud and very playful, something I don’t think my energy can handle.
- Oh no. These kids... My right hand rested on my forehead.
- My eyes then scanned the two.
- They were wearing casual clothes. I wonder where these two will be going. A date perhaps? I shrugged at the thought. Not that I mind though, these guys are so good looking. I'm sure they must be seeing someone. But considering their profession, I doubt they are about to go on a date looking like this. I’d think they would be in disguise. But whatever they wear, I am sure they would attract attention anyways.
- "Why?" my arms crossed as I tap my right feet on the ground patiently waiting for their response.
- They better have a goddamn good reason for disturbing my sleep, alright.
- I tried to hide the bitterness in my voice but I'm sure I failed.
- What? I mean, they can't blame me. I just woke up.
- Jason smiled apologetically while Vash is still as cheerful as ever. Sometimes I wonder what kind of food do these people eat. They don't always act normal. They are always full of energy.
- "Can we borrow your car?" Vash immediately said, his hands are clasped together, with puppy look all over his eyes. Though his voice is a little nervous.
- Like I would fall for that. Well I might, but I am like their guardian for now. Whatever happens to them is on me.
- He pouted his lips while rubbing his hands together.
- Okay, I lied, I guess I'm falling for it.
- I can understand the nervousness in his voice as I never really mingle with them. I try my best to distance myself from them. I'm still not used to stay with some boys and it's making me feel uncomfortable.
- What did he ask by the way? My mind is still blank.
- They must have notice my lack of focus so Vash repeated what he said.
- Oh right. They wanted to borrow my car. Like I would.
- "No." I immediately answered.
- I'm not even sure if these boys have their license. If something happens to them, the president will kill me. The decision is with me right now. Their manager doesn't even stay here. The company entrusted them to my care.
- I did not even wait for a response from them and turned my back. I left them standing outside my door. I went back to my bed. I need a good sleep and I'm hoping that no one will be disturbing me. I'm planning to stay to bed until the afternoon.
- "Close the door before you leave. I'm going back to sleep." I told them. I have to take a rest. My body is tired and so is my mind.
- I haven't even reached my bed yet when Jake came rushing inside my room. My eyes followed his movement as he saw the car keys on the table and grab it. He gave me a quick hug and rushed outside the room.
- “Thank you, “ I heard him utter.
- I was left standing in the room processing what just happened.
- Did my brother just hug me?
- After realizing what happened, I slowly made my way back to my bed and lay down, completely giving up.
- Rome wouldn't let anything bad happen anyways, then, there's Yohan.
- Josh maybe the oldest but I'm not even sure. He's actually as playful as the younger ones.
- I can still remember catching them running around the house like they were some five-year-old.
- I then turned to Jason and Vash who seemed shocked and confuse.
- "Make sure to bring the car in one piece or I'll break all of your bones. And tell Jake not to go around my stuff inside the car." I told them.
- Still confused about what just happened, Vash decided that it's best to go before I change my mind, so he reached to close the door.
- I went back to sleep with a smile on my face. I'm glad Jake is slowly reaching out to me. I need to call our mom and tell her about it. Maybe we can drop by the house together and grab a meal with our dad. That would be great.
- I fell asleep smiling with those thoughts on my mind. At least having him warming up with me like that makes me feel better. Fuck my car, he can go around with it as long as he’s safe.
- I woke up with darkness enveloping the whole room. Oh right, I instantly fell asleep after they went out.
- I reached for my phone at the bedside table to check the time. It's almost seven in the evening.
- Man, I've slept too much.
- A small yawn escaped my lips as I make my way out of the room.
- The boys were back.
- Jake and Haiden were laughing over something on the phone. They must be checking the comments that their fans left on social media. I saw them once doing that.
- The fans have no idea how the boys were laughing their ass out every time they read about how they ship the boys with one another.
- A chuckle escapes my lips as I see Rome trying to escape from Vash's arms while the other kept on singing purposely out of tune. That little kid loves teasing everyone. Honestly, his voice is still pleasant to the ears even if he tries to sing out of tune.
- Jason noticed me standing outside my room and smiled. "Had a good sleep?"
- "Absolutely." I smiled back and saw Jake smiling as well. I went to the kitchen feeling really good.
- I reached the kitchen in no time and saw Josh and Yohan cooking.
- Before I was able to reach the refrigerator, someone reached it and opened it for me. I turned to see Josh smiling at me before he instantly went back to what he's doing.
- I gulped. This feels like Déjà vu. I had a dream the other night where he did the same. I blushed at the thought.
- I immediately grabbed a bottle of water and drink it. I decided to stand beside the table and observe the two.
- After a few minutes, Yohan finally spoke "We brought back the car without any scratch by the way."
- I bite my lower lip as I think a good thing to say as I'm not yet comfortable with them. "Ahmm, thanks. I don't know you know how to cook. I always thought you live your life to sleep" I chuckled.
- "Of course I can. Jake opened the compartment and ate the candies." He added. He seems worried actually. Perhaps he’s bothered that I might get mad because of what Jake did. Little did they know that all of my possessions are literally like, all for Jake as well.
- "It's fine." I responded.
- It's no surprise anyways. My brother would always check my belongings like how he used to. He’s always curious about things and since we often share the same interest, most of what I have in my car are things he probably want as well.
- Besides, he knew I wouldn't get mad.
- I feel pity for the boys who must have been worried. I'm sure they thought that I will get mad because of Jake's actions. If only he would tell them about me being his sister.
- I sighed.
- "So..." My attention was caught by Josh speaking.
- Oh, my. He really has this deep voice. "Did you had a good sleep the other night?" He asked while he was chopping the vegetables.
- He looks hot while on apron. I gulped.
- Then I remember what he just said. I gave him a look of confusion.
- What is he asking about?
- He must have understood my confusion as he continued, "You fell asleep here in the kitchen while we were talking so..."
- My mind couldn't process what he just told me.
- When did we speak to each other? I mean, I rarely speak to him as we always start bickering with each other every time.
- "Here in the kitchen?" I asked him still confused and he just nod. I can make out the playful smirk coming out of his lips. I notice how he has a habit of slipping his tongue out to the side.
- "Aha." He continued as he pointed something at the top of the kitchen counter. "You said you like apples so I bought you some earlier" I followed his eyesight and I saw the apples sitting on the basket.
- I tried to think about it when a sudden realization came to me.
- "Oh, shit. It wasn't a dream?" It wasn't my intention but I must have said my thoughts out loud because he and Yohan started laughing.
- My face turned red in embarrassment. Oh, my God.
- "I never knew you have such a dirty mouth, missy." Yohan playfully smirked.
- I covered my lips immediately. I am not the one to curse but I was stunned. I remember the incident but I can't really remember all the things that I said to him.
- I took another sip of water in uneasiness but before I can finish drinking, Josh suddenly moved his face closer to mine and whispered something in my ear.
- The hair on the back of my neck all stood up.
- "Don't worry. I'm used to people telling me how handsome I am and how they want to kiss me." He whispered.
- I spit all the water that I drink and coughed continuously. He immediately taps my back in worry.
- I'm not sure if he's just playing with me but it is so awkward. Yohan hasn't stopped laughing on the other side.
- Did I really tell him all of that? Unconsciously, my eyes landed on his lips.
- Just thinking about it makes my body shiver. I suddenly asked myself how it would feel to kiss those lips. It looks soft and it's so red.
- How can a man's lips be redder than most of the girls?
- My cheeks turned into crimson red when I heard a cough from his mouth.
- Great.
- He caught me staring at his lips. This situation wouldn't be any better.
- "You must be hungry." I looked over Josh who is already standing beside me.
- I moved one step backwards. He's too close.
- Thank God he decides to change the topic. But I still hate Yohan. I even thought that he's the timidest but no, he's actually there, continuously laughing at me.
- My stomach suddenly grumbles and a groan involuntarily escaped my lips.
- I covered my face in embarrassment.
- Oh my God. I wish the ground can swallow me in instant.
- Again, I heard the two, Yohan already doubling in laughter.
- Why does it have to be now? Why do I have to be this way in front of some famous idol? I wish the ground would eat me so I could disappear from this embarrassing situation.
- "You can go and wait with the boys. We're almost done" I'm sure that's Josh who spoke but I can still hear a hint of playfulness on his voice. He's still laughing.
- I quickly ran my way out of the kitchen and went inside my room.
- I immediately closed the door so glad I was able to escape that embarrassing situation. My mouth hung open upon seeing my refection in the mirror.
- "Fuck." Oops.
- Did they all see me like this?
- My hair is a mess and it looks like it's out of every places. My face looks puffy from too much sleep.
- "Stupid" I said to myself.
- Nothing seems to be going right.
