• "How you doing, son?" When he saw his father and Mason standing outside the hotel suite door, Onyx's eyes widened. Gerbert was beaming at him with a bright grin, while Mason stood beside him with a warm smile. Onyx was about to say something when he felt Ophelia's body against his back and looked down at her as she peered over his shoulder.
• "Dad!" Onyx smiled, her face glowing brighter than ever before as her gaze fell on her father. He took a step back as Ophelia wrapped her arms around her father. Mason smiled and held her tight.
• "I missed you, little dove." Mason muttered, and Ophelia responded muffledly, "I missed you too!" Ophelia stepped back and turned to face Gerbert, who was smiling at them.
