Chapter 27 Breaking Point

  • Noah’s world felt like it was slowly coming apart at the seams. Each day, Elias crept deeper into his life, leaving an indelible mark on everything Noah thought he knew about himself. The weight of it was suffocating. The more he fought, the tighter Elias’s hold seemed to become, like invisible chains binding him tighter with every breath. He wanted to scream, to escape, but something inside him—a dark, twisted part he couldn’t silence—kept him rooted in place, kept him coming back for more.
  • It had been three days since the last confrontation. Since Elias had walked into his apartment uninvited, touching him with that predatory tenderness that sent shivers down his spine. Noah thought he could push the memories to the back of his mind, but every time he closed his eyes, he saw Elias’s face, heard his voice, felt his touch. It was unbearable.
  • Noah had tried to go about his days as usual—he threw himself into his work, kept himself occupied with distractions, but it never lasted long. Elias was always there, lingering in the corners of his mind, waiting. And Noah, despite everything, couldn’t seem to shake the feeling that he was losing control of his own life.
