Chapter 40

• Tears rolled down Nora’s cheeks as she silently prayed for Annie and the baby's safety. She knew how bad Eric wanted this baby and losing the baby will break him and Annie who was already attached to the little one.
• The ambulance arrived six minutes after Nora’s call and they brought her to Saint Mary’s hospital.
• “Nora, how is she? Is she going to be fine? How’s the baby?” Eric asked with tear-filled eyes. His hair was scattered. You could tell he ran his hand through it so many times. He was in his office clothes but without his jacket. The first two buttons of his shirt were undone and below was his tired tie.
