Chapter 5

- At the end of the class when people had surrounded Shane, I saw it as an opportunity to get away quickly with Keisha.
- "Let's go." I urged, taking my laptop. The giggling Keisha reluctantly stood up. We made our way through the crowd and hurriedly headed for the door. But then Keisha stopped me by grabbing my hand.
- "What is it? Let's go quickly."
- ""Sha, I think you should apologize."
- I looked at her like she was crazy.
- "What?"
- "He may be your employer tomorrow. Or he might even help you to realize your dream. Go on and apologize."
- I was silent. Keisha was right and I hated that fact . I finally gave in with no choice. We then joined the students surrounding Shane . Most of them were girls, of course.
- He was smirking and was friendly with all of them. He had one dangerous bad boy look. He had beautiful eyes and little pink lips. He answered all questions carefully. As he spoke, he looked around and unfortunately his eyes met mine. I gulped. I felt embarrassed and ashamed. He gave me a surprised smile. I looked away.
- "Keisha, is this obligatory?" I whispered.
- "Yep." she replied, amused. I turned to him again and suddenly he stopped talking to the people in front of him, his attention to me.
- "Are you a student?" he asked me openly. I gulped again.
- "Um, yeah."
- "Were you in today's class?" he asked in a teasing manner and and I knew it was payback time. He wanted to have his little revenge.
- "Yes."
- "Oh, I see. Do you want to speak to me?" he asked with a knowing smile. My breath hitched.
- "Um, yes."
- He gave me a satisfied smile. He'd won. If I'd known who he was I would have shut the hell up. I was annoyed. He turned to the students who had been listening to us.
- "Please that'll be all for today, guys."
- "Thanks for coming." a girl said.
- "No. Thank you for letting me teach for the first time."
- They all smiled at him before leaving. We were left alone. Only both of us. I didn't even realize when Keisha had left too. The cunning brat. Shane stood up and began packing his stuff.
- "Um, sir?"
- "Shane" he corrected.
- "Shane?"
- "Yes?"
- "I want to apologize."
- He stopped and looked at me, a brow raised.
- "Excuse me?"
- I felt like melting.
- "I want to tell you I'm sorry for speaking rudely to you yesterday."
- He wore his jacket and took his keys.
- "Honey, just keep that to yourself. It's not sincere." was his cold reply.
- "What??"
- He walked past me.
- "You've discovered who I really am and now you want to gain some favors?"
- Why the hell was I apologizing?
- "You know what, Shane?" I started.
- "What?"
- "You're a real jerk within. I thought of doing good but you're too rude for my liking."
- There I'd told him some truth. He was silent. But not for long.
- "I didn't mean to be rude."
- I didn't expect that.
- "oh really?" I asked sarcastically.
- "Yes. Just that I find it useless to do what you don't want to do."
- 'Caught.'
- "And who said I didn't want to do it?" I was lying. Who was I kidding?
- He smirked and before me, left the class. He knew I was lying. This guy was so annoying.
- 'And handsome...'
- I shook my head and eventually left class, too.
