- In the seconds it took Ethan to recover, Chris had kicked off his boots and extended his claws through his socks. He leapt at Ethan, grabbed him by the neck, and brought up his feet to rake his claws down Ethan’s stomach. Ethan howled in pain and tried to roll them over. Chris only held on tighter.
