- “Where is Miss Allie going?”
- We stood there at the end of the driveway, watching as Allie’s car turned the corner, and disappeared. She could’ve been going anywhere—to the grocery store, to drop off a letter at the post office, off to go meet up with a friend—but for some reason, I had the feeling that we weren’t going to see her for a while.
