Chapter 27 The Wedding Invitation

• He got to his feet when he felt her motionless beneath him, leaned over, and stroked the side of her neck, checking to see if she was still breathing and sighed when she was.
• He moved to the wall, pulled his hair back from his face, and turned on the light while glancing at her form on the bed. He squinted. She wasn't Maya, no. Even yet, she didn't resemble Maya.
• He immediately turned on the shower in the bathroom. His body was covered from head to toe in water, which soothed his tired muscles.
