Chapter 7 No Goodbye
- Murilo
- I woke up with an unusual feeling of emptiness, and the events of the previous night quickly came to mind. I ran my hand over the mattress of the bed and looked around the strange room, searching for the brunette who had managed to charm me from the first moment I laid eyes on her.
- Likewise, I didn't see her anywhere, and I feared that she had left without having had a real conversation. Furthermore, I wanted to know more about her. One night alone had not been enough to cure all the desire I felt for the girl I knew only as "Summer. I hadn't even asked her real name, and now I was feeling like a complete idiot for not even doing that. But now it was too late to dwell on that fact.
- I got out of bed and went to the bathroom, to check if she was not there anymore, and found that she had indeed left, without even a note or anything.
- I looked at my watch, verifying that it was still very early, not even six o'clock in the morning, and I imagined that she did this on purpose because she did not want to be face to face with me in the dreaded "morning after".
- Furthermore, I looked for the club manager, but only the security and the cleaning staff were there at that time and decided that I would come back another time, to try to find some information about Summer.
- The night before didn't leave my mind, however, and it was very difficult to concentrate on work, since the image of my brunette kept coming back at every moment, just as the sensations aroused by her almost led me to some embarrassing moments during a meeting.
- When I got home at night, I just took an invigorating shower and went to the club in an attempt to get some information about the mysterious brunette with whom I spent one of the best nights of my life, but I couldn't get anything from the manager Pamela. According to her, the young women who volunteered to take part in the auction did not provide any other information to the club, besides their bank details.
- "And this information I could never pass on to anyone" She was immediately anticipating," Do you agree?
- "Of course" I had to agree, begrudgingly." But I would only like her full name. It wouldn't be necessary for you to give me anything more than that."
- "Not at all" She was very emphatic in saying that "We have our rules and people trust us. I can't risk our reputation like that."
- Did I feel like contradicting her, for what reputation could a clandestine virgin auction club possibly have? But it was better to keep things in their respective places. I was in no position to point out irregularities when I was the bidder of one of the young women and ended up getting my money's worth, even if I didn't mean to.
- I reminded myself of the fact that I had no intention when I made those bids, but still, I made the mistake of going ahead with that madness, and now I was on the same level as those who promoted the auction.
- Furthermore, I thought about leaving, but a slight hope that I could gather any information about Summer led me back to the hall where the auctions were announced, the same one I had been in the night before.
- But there was no auction at the moment and instead, a performance by some very sexy pole dancers and the people at the tables, among them some women as well, were all completely focused on the show.
- I sat down at a table further away and ordered a drink, as I didn't feel like going back to my apartment yet. Even though the sensuality show didn't arouse any interest in me, it was better than staying at home thinking of ways to locate Summer without having at least a clue, something to start looking for.
- **********❤️**********
- The week had been exhausting as a new marketing team was being added to the company, and they were looking for a new image for our products, which involved my direct image. I had to collaborate with them in whatever was necessary, something that took a lot of energy.
- But still, I was at Season Hot again that night. It was Friday and the place was quite busy, I believe because it was auction night. It was always like this when the virgin auctions took place.
- "Interesting how things change" Aquiles commented wryly, raising his glass of whiskey to his lips, his attention focused on watching the young women who had just taken the stage.
- "Be more direct."
- "I am referring to the hypocrisy with which you spoke about this very auction only two weeks ago."
- "I didn't come here looking to bid on any of the young women."
- "But you did on the first day."
- Before I could answer, Pamela called everyone's attention and started introducing the four young women who were auctioning their virginities that night, and a familiar discomfort came over me once again.
- I really made it quite clear how absurd I considered this to be, but at the first opportunity, I made high pitches and took Summer, and now I don't like at all to have to refer in this way to her. I prefer to call the girl I had a spectacular evening with just "my brunette". After coming to the club again on auction day, I realized that Pamela always named the four young women as a station and that "Summer" could be anyone, so calling my girl that way became completely meaningless.
- After the night I spent with my brunette in that club, I had been back other times always hoping to get some information that would lead me to her, but so far, two weeks later, I still had no success.
- "Ethan is also here today" My cousin suddenly let out.
- I felt my blood boil as I realized that Aquiles was right about that fact, noticing the creep at the table next to ours, but I managed to cover it up well.
- "Good for him."
- "Don't you intend to fight with him again, for one of these beautiful young women?" Aquiles spoke softly because people were already bidding for the first girl and I could hardly understand what he was saying, "And then?”
- "May he have better luck this time" I answered after a few seconds, taking my time to process the information.
- Aquiles looked at me analytically but soon returned his attention to the stage. When the third girl was announced, he seemed to get quite annoyed, and without me being able to contain a sneer, he was bidding on the Summer of the evening, which was quite uncomfortable, even though this was another girl entirely.
- But unlike me, he did not bet all his chips, and the young lady was bid on and bought by another man, who was at a table further away and who seemed to be quite happy with himself.
- "You mustn't blame him," Aquiles said, as he saw me looking in the middle-aged man's direction. "You made that same expression the day you attended as well.”
- I smiled as I imagined that my cousin must be telling the truth and felt like an inexperienced eighteen-year-old boy as I remembered that my brunette had gotten to me and that it was very likely that what he was saying was actually true and not just a way to provoke me.
- "You are an idiot," I said in an amused tone.
- "From what I can see, you seem to be over the whole Bruna thing.”
- "Why do you say that?" I asked, quite interested.
- "It's been over ten minutes since I warned you about Ethan's presence in the room, and you don't even seem to have noticed," He explained. "Until a few days ago, you would have been raging like a bull and would have found any excuse to confront him.”
- I didn't comment on my cousin's words, but he was right. I hadn't paid attention to Ethan's presence and hadn't been thinking about it either.
- My thoughts for the past few days had only one destination, and that was the beautiful, green-eyed, extremely provocative brunette with whom I had spent an especially unusual evening.
