• Mildred POV
• When I opened my eyes, the first thing I thought about was looking for my unborn baby's father, but he was nowhere in sight, instead there was a drip in my hand and an unfamiliar person in a white coat looking down at me, and immediately my heart began to race with panic as I dragged my fingers into the sheets and backed up against the pillow that's was on the bed I was resting on.
• The man in the coat immediately approached me, placing his hand on my arm and telling me that I was in a hospital and that I was being taken care of.
