Chapter 8 A Threat

• Selena heard the sound of beautiful classical music as soon as she woke up. She simply relished the music for a brief moment. She remained calm as the melodies drifted over her. For a moment.
• She didn't realize there was an arm around her waist until everything that had transpired flashed through her mind, making her acutely aware of the throbbing migraine in her head and the fact that she was currently in bed. She searched her mind for an explanation as her heart was racing. She came to the conclusion that the man must have visited her while she slept. In an effort to create as much space between herself and the man, she wriggled out from beneath his toned, strong arm. She then slid to the side of the bed.
