• Waking up to a new day, I stretched and yawned, feeling the warmth of the morning sun gently caressing my face through the curtains. My senses, heightened by my lycanthropic nature, were acutely aware of every ray of sunlight that touched my skin. Rolling out of bed, I headed to the bathroom, relishing the thought of a long, hot shower to wake me up fully.
• The steam from the shower enveloped me, melting away the last remnants of sleep and calming the restless energy that had been building within me.
