Chapter 51 Lesson One: Respect
- Piper
- The moment Serene says, "That's enough meditation for today," I practically bolt upright. My heart pounds against my ribcage like a caged animal desperate to escape. Without looking at anyone, I rush out of the hall, ignoring the confused and judgemental stares trailing after me. My feet pound against the floor, my breath shallow as if I’m actually being pursued by that voice—the wolf’s voice.
- When I finally reach my room, I slam the door shut and lean against it, gasping for air. My chest heaves as I try to calm the storm inside me, but it’s no use. My mind is spinning, the voice still echoing: Hello there, Piper. I have been waiting for you.
