Chapter 10 Perfect
- Blue's POV
- As soon as he left, he seemed to have taken the warmth with him, the same warmth he had brought with him before. The place felt emptier now.
- I let out a sigh and got rid of the uncomfortable satin nightgown. "A satin weave is a fabric weave that generates a material with a glossy top surface and a dull back that is characteristically glossy, smooth, or shiny. It is one of the three basic types of textile weaves, along with plain weave and twill weave. Four or more fill or weft yarns float over a warp yarn, whereas the satin weave is defined by four warp strands floating over a single weft yarn. Floats are missing interfacings where the warp yarn lays on top of the weft in a warp-faced satin, for example. Because light is not scattered as much when hitting the fibers as it is in other weaves, resulting in a crisper reflection, these floats account for the high shine and even sheen. Satin is often manufactured by floating warp yarns over weft yarns in a warp-faced weaving method, but weft-faced satins are also available. If a satin weave is used with filament fibers such as silk, polyester, or nylon, the fabric is called satin; however, some definitions state that a satin fabric must be wholly comprised of silk. If the yarns used are short-staple yarns like cotton, the fabric produced is known as sateen."
