Chapter 7
- *SAMANTHA’S CHAMBER*
- As soon as I entered Samantha’s room to check up on my supposed mate, my wolf kept groaning at the site of her in pains. Suddenly, I began feeling hot like someone being placed on fire, I immediately left as I couldn’t understand what was going on with me, Carla immediately followed me. I turned towards Carla, his ultimate gift was to acknowledge a different realm. I knew that by seeing that girl yesterday, he would recognize her realm.
- Carla, I called out, and he raised an eyebrow.
- “That girl, Amora…. Is she a wolf or omega?” I inquired, and Carla scoffed.
- “She’s an omega. Why?” he replied.
- Sadness washed over me.
- You look sad, Carla said
- Listen, Carla, I can’t fathom being mated to a mere omega. Even if I accepted, Which I know I won’t, she will turn out to be my weakness and prey to my enemies. There’s no law supporting love between a wolf and an omega. Besides, the girl isn’t my type; I’ve felt an inexplicable disdain for her since laying eyes on her yesterday Ace explained to Carla
- “Is she your mate?” Carla asked, and I furrowed my brows, wondering how he knew what I was thinking.
- “Why did you ask?” I inquired, and he smiled.
- “You have no interest in a girl being a wolf or omega as long as she as a hole, so tell me why wouldn’t I know when you are interested in knowing where she belongs,” he explained, and I took a deep breath.
- “I’m still doubting if she is my mate or if it’s just my curiosity, but I will confirm tomorrow,” I stated.
- “If she is your mate, will you reject her?” Carla asked, and I narrowed my eyes.
- “Are you expecting me, a whole Alpha of snow pack, to be betrothed to a mere omega?”
- Carla smirked. She’s sexy, beautiful and, most importantly, her skin is flawless even with that silver blade cut.
- Alpha glared at Carla, I’m yet to confirm if she’s my mate, but with the way ROA acts whenever I’m around her…. He sighed. I wish to be left alone.
- Ok Alpha, Carla bowed and walked away.

- *SAMANTHA’S CHAMBER*
- Wise one, Sabrina called, entering Samantha’s inner chamber where she found her preparing a special facial medicine in the form of paste.
- Who’s the paste for? Sabrina asked, glaring at Samantha.
- “My patient”, my lady, the Alpha’s mate.
- I forbid you from calling her that, Sabrina Screamed covering her ears. The Alpha is yet to accept her as his mate and I forbid you from applying that in your hands on her without the Alpha's order, after all, she’s just an omega.
- “ I believe you don’t want the Alpha to know your role in her failed escape plan, Samantha asked, glaring at Sabrina.
- Is that a threat? I’m still the Alpha’s mistress, Samantha, you’ll address me with respect. We shall see, Sabrina said and stormed out.
- Samantha stared at the sleeping Amora and shook her head. Poor child she muttered, you must have been through a lot, being an omega, and a poor one at that. This will make you feel better, she said, applying the herbal on Amora’s face.
- *SABRINA’S CHAMBER*
- “Mara” Starring at her reflection in the mirror. Tell me, Mara, have I lost my beauty?
- May the moon goddess forbid, my lady. You’re just as beautiful as goddess Athena herself.
- Oh, Mara, you flatter me with your words.
- May my head be severed from my neck if I ever think of lying to you, my lady Mara said.
- Lady Sabrina smiled. I must go to the Alpha tonight, though he didn’t send for me, but I believe our relationship has passed that stage. “ Mara, you must dress me up in the finest clothes and when the Alpha sees me, he will never think of a better Luna for snow pack but me. Prepare a warm bath for me at once.
- Yes, my lady, Mara bowed and walked away.
- *ALPHA ACE CHAMBER*
- Alpha? Lady Sabrina is here to see you, a guard announced.
- Let her in.
- Ace stood up from his bed, staring at his reflection in the mirror with a satisfied smile. But then, he turned as soon as Sabrina entered the room.
- Ace’s POV.
- Sabrina entered dressed in a revealing gown that left little to the imagination. I knew her well, for she was up to something. Once, she knew how to put me in the mood, But tonight, I felt different. I couldn’t quite place it, but something was off. “You look troubled, my lord,” she purred, moving closer to me.
- I looked at her and sighed. How do I tell her that I’m just not in the mood tonight? I know I once loved having her around, but then I don’t know what happened ROA, I complained inwardly to my wolf.
- *I think it’s because our mate is in the castle*
- *I groaned, ROA I forbid you from calling her that, I’m yet to confirm if indeed she’s our mate*
- *What’s there to consider Ace, you’ll bring our mate to your chambers, I want to… Feel her touch*
- I sighed and cut the link with ROA and faced Sabrina.
- “Alpha” Sabrina called going down on her kneels.
- Not tonight, my dear.
- Sabrina was taken aback, her eyes widening in surprise. “But you always seem to enjoy my company. What’s changed?”
- Ace ran a hand through his hair, trying to explain the feeling that had been nagging at him. “I just feel…tired. I’m not sure if I have the energy for any of this tonight.” Sabrina frowned, a slight pout forming on her lips. “But you need to relax, my lord. Allow me to help you unwind.” She reached out a hand, but Ace gently pushed It away.
- “No, Sabrina, I’m afraid not even your talented hands can help me tonight.”
- Sabrina’s eyes darkened, and she let out a huff of annoyance. “Fine. I’ll leave you to your brooding, then.” She turned to go, but Ace reached out and stopped her.
- “Please, don’t be upset. I truly appreciate your company, but I just need some time alone.” Sabrina looked at him, her expression softening. “Very well, my lord. But know that I am always here for you, should you need me.” He smiled, grateful for her understanding.
- As Sabrina left the Alpha’s chamber to her chambers, a thought crossed her mind.
- Could I have lost favor in the eye of the Alpha?
