Chapter 5 Did You Forget Me
- Did you forget me?
- Panic quickly doused the idea of looking for Chi An. She quickly looked around for the silhouette of a building, then she pushed the throng away as she went toward the door. I'll be safe once I get out, she told herself that.
- The door might be a distance away from the hall, but at least it was bathed in moonlight there. Mu Shiyu's heart pounded, and she quickly went towards the door, relying on its silhouette and the path her memory told her. She bumped into a lot of people on the way there, but since it was dark, nobody saw her.
- As she lifted her dress and neared the moonlight, she tripped on something, then she was sent flying forward. Before she fell, Mu Shiyu was embraced by someone passionate and strong, and his arm was on her waist.
- “Ah!” Mu Shiyu was already in a panic, so she gasped. The man was about to push her away, but he stopped.
- Mu Shiyu started to blush. Judging by the breath coming from above her and his broad, sturdy chest, she knew this was a tall, muscular man. “Sorry, mister. I tripped on something earlier.” She apologized gently before pushing him away and standing by herself.
- However, the man wasn't planning on letting her go. He kept on holding her waist, while his other hand cupped her chin. “It's you.” He said, his voice attractive. The man sounded nasal, electrifying Mu Shiyu.
- “What are you talking about? Let me go.” She couldn't resist her fear of darkness any longer, so she trembled, and what the man said was lost on her. Before she could say any further, the man kissed her.
- Mu Shiyu's eyes widened, then she struggled. Her face turned scarlet, and she tried to turn away, but she couldn't escape his precise kiss that drowned all her screams.
- There was frustration and tension in Huo Qian's eyes, but as usual, his picky body could only react to this woman before him. Every other woman couldn't get him hard. There were countless women who tried to sleep with him, but he couldn't even deign to touch them.
- Mu Shiyu was panicking, so she quickly pushed against his chest as a sign of protest, but that only lit his desire of conquest. A long while later, the man parted with her already-swollen lips, then he looked down at her. A moment later, he told her cruelly, “Remember me now, little hooker at the Siegfried Hotel?”
- Mu Shiyu was stunned by the kiss, but when he said that, she suddenly sobered up. The woman shivered, her face pale, but still she looked up at the man who was hidden in the darkness. “It's you!”
- She couldn't face the memory of that night, though she had to thank him. At least he was loads better than that fat, disgusting deputy director. However, she couldn't accept the fact that her life and her beloved were getting further and further out of reach.
- Similarly, Huo Qian recalled that fateful night. He looked at her darkly, his hand on her soft, delicate waist.
- “That was just an accident. I'm sorry if it has inconvenienced you.” She said with a trembling voice, her attitude earnest. “Do please forget about that, sir, for I had forgotten about it.” She then started to cry, her tears falling on the man's hand that was on her waist.
- As if he was burnt by the temperature of her tears, the man loosened his grip. It was at this moment, Mu Shiyu pushed him away. She had forgotten all about her nyctophobia at this moment, and she lifted her dress before running towards the door. Thanks to the moonlight that guided her, she ran as fast as she could, and then she finally stopped at the corner of the streets before she crouched down and hugged herself.
