Chapter 9 9

• Rosie smiles and giggles as she walks into the kitchen. She squeals out, "Yes!"
• She quickly lowers her voice so that Dylan won't hear her. Excitedly, she walks up to the plate hanger and takes out one big plate from the plate rolls. She takes a small spoon and finally walks out of the kitchen, heading back to the living room to meet Dylan.
• Dylan is still sitting on the black couch in the living room, waiting majestically for Rosie to return to him.
